Heres a little somthing. The last "IT Issues" thread ran from 2008 to very recently and has over 190,000 posts (~90,000 from the Well Done idiots). This thread is less than a year old and has over 110,000 posts.

What does this say about the EXPONENTIALLY inept senior IT leadership in place today?

When is any SET lead going to realize how poorly run IT is now. Through some of the worst times when no one thought it could get any worse than Big Blue or Emerald, there at least remained a few good leaders with a clue trying to land this kamakaze on its wheels. Today, we have hit rock bottom. Its not because we are outsourcing more or radically moving to new vendors. Its purely the leadership team and lack of operating model and resources which without question should be in their top thee accountabilities.

Smoley, its time to move on, you destructive arrogant bully. SET LEADERS - its time to step up and stop this madness. The so-called new operating models are simply the skeletons of the same two legacy models. Nothing has been harmonized. We have NOT simplified. We have just confused, abused and intimidated the staff who remains. Its clear we deliver nothing to customers - which is why they have staffed their own IT organizations. Its a lot less headache and nonsense than going to IT. THE hodge-podge of inefficient systems they deliver cost 80% or more than they should and are impossible to govern. Its time for some housekeeping at the top of IT.

All these special teams trying to boost morale arent going to make an ounce of difference until IT gets some Sr leadership in place that can actually lead and make some sense. These clowns are celebrating so called wins that are hysterical.
