There you are big John. I was waiting for you to respond. The reason I haven't left yet is because I need this paycheck you dumb f$*k. Why would I quit a job when I don't have anything lined up yet? By the way, I just had a kickass FIOS case this morning. The dr even asked me if Applied has come out with anything new and valuable that he could use for his cases. Unfortunately I had to say no because all this company has come out with in the past yr is a smaller Gelpoint and a new Alexis at 3-4 times the price of the regular Alexis's my customers are used to using. Thank you Applied Medical for making my job impossible. P.S., the dr wanted me to tell you he knows how to put in a trocar and to stop wasting his time.

First of the month, so it's time to refresh this thread. If upper management is reading this, let Said know this policy reflects on his integrity, as he obviously had to sign off on it. Either the amount of the employer contribution or the deceptive wording of the policy has to change.

Said here. What have you done for me? I command thee to get your pathetic, entitled, sorry American behind out in the field immediately before I fire you!!!! You deserve nothing you peasant. Now go sell some Alexis Ortho and trocars and make me and my family rich. That is an order, not a request.

You really think he reads this crap? If you're doing such a noble service, rather than posting on an anonymous board, why don't you do something about it and call it into the home office yourself. Quit sitting around waiting for someone else to fix the problem. Fix it yourself. Or are you like the previous poster, just sit around doing nothing?

I, and numerous others, have reported this issue to HR. The response was nothing more than having the written policy e-mailed to me, with no elaboration and no acknowledgement of the confusing wording. When I reiterated the issue there was no further response. That told me that although they are aware of the confusing wording, they have no desire to make it clearer (because that would, of course put in everyone's face - including candidates - what a poor, uncompetitive match Applied contributes).

This is consistent with what has been stated by numerous posters on many of these boards - that Applied has no respect for its employees and has no concern for their morale.

As to why I'm addressing it anonymously on a board like this, it's because Applied has repeatedly shown its vindictiveness towards employees who "rock the boat". How many times have we seen excellent and dedicated people in Applied suddenly get canned, simply because they rubbed someone in The Royal Family wrong?

And if you're going to pull out your tired line of, "If you don't like it, get out". I would love to. One problem is I'm a manager, and I've found (actually been told by a recruiter) that the company has such a bad reputation that being an Applied manager actually hurts your resume. The only options they've put in front of me are start-ups. I may have to step down to being a rep to get out, and I'm almost ready to do that at this point.

    But I digress...

You dumb fuck. Don't you think that if I could fix it, I WOULD? Hence why I tried......To anyone who reads this board, please do the world a favor and don't come here. Idiots truly drive this ship and it's sinking faster than the Titanic

This dishonest policy still has not been changed, so I'm submitting my monthly refresher of this thread. Do the right thing, Said.

Problem with your logic is that if you are at Applied, then you are not top talent.

The truth hurst sometimes. Applied is an entry-level med device job for someone looking to make a jump from Pharma or B2B. Talented people start at Applied and then leave - that's just the way it works. It's a shitty job with products that are only competitive due to price. Nothing wrong with it but lets be honest. For someone not at Applied, you sure are pretty emotional.

I interviewed with them for a job a while back. The hiring manager took one look at my salary history and flat-out told me that he didn't want to insult me with an offer. In retrospect, he did me a huge favor.

I'm sorry for all the good folk that are stuck working at this place. There are better companies out there.

Heeeeyyy!! You're back! Glad to hear from you again.

Hey dummy, this hasn't fixed it so far. How about you deal with the company directly rather than through CP

Or do what 85% of the reps have done there in the past 4 years: quit and go to greener pastures. Applied is a joke. All of my accounts hated dealing with them, whether it was customer service, management, specialists, or some even hated dealing with me just because of all of the aforementioned individuals. Most unprofessional organization I ever worked for and hands down one of the worst medical device companies to work for or deal with in the US. Don't believe me? Read any of the posts on here or Glassdoor from the past 5-6 years. Numbers don't lie.

Here's my monthly refresher of this thread (a few days late). Either increase the employer contribution to the percent the above policy implies (the preferable option) or at very least change the deceptive wording of the policy. You're bullshitting candidates to have them think we offer a competitive 401(k) match, but don't you realize how resentful we all are once the reality is realized? What's the consequence of an entire company's employees feeling they can't trust their employer???

Yes, they are trying to get you to participate, hold you money until you are 59.5, so they can take it in the meantime.

401k is a brillant ponzi scheme. The younger generation pays off the retired folks. People don't want to see it that way, because they are brainwashed and they see a rainbow of wealth waiting for them IF they live long enough.

I am sick of it. All lies. Save your money through better investments than a 401k, or just leave it in the bank.
