Who gets a shot at these new positions rolling out? Seems that many in the layoff hopper may want to interview for these spots. Will they look for medical backgrounds? Nurses and others? DF experience? Look at success beyond the 2013 isolation factor? What? Geography considerations were discussed too. What's the situation with this? Keeping it local, mostly? Ramps up productivity and less down time. Don't forget docs almost expect reps to change every few years. The truth is most reps here and other pharma have actually worked in multiple roles and in multiple territories. The days of one rep in that one office for 10 or 20 years is long, long gone. If you still see it today it is almost an anomaly......
If you are not DF then chances are you will not be considered. The ENDO DF will have a huge territory. There are already 2 up DF territories strategically placed throughout the country to allow for one to be the Card DF and the other to be ENDO DF for a few territories all rolled into one. Gonna be a lot of driving.
Hearing more DF positions being created. This might mean smaller territories with less driving. Some of the current DF reps have more PC experience than in DF. Interesting because there are many long term experienced DF reps who were dropped into PC over the couple of years. Bottom line, what you see is not always reality.
You have blinders on if you think ANY territory is going to be smaller. It's do more with less all over this company. Invest in a donut and an orthopedic back cushion.
DF card territory footprints stay the same. DF Endo territory footprint 2 to 3 times the size of current territories. No increase in head count. Will actually be a slight decrease in head count.
