I'm responding to my own post. I see that at least two of my colleagues failed to grasp my intended humor, posted rebuttals. Allow me to clarify? THE ORIGINAL WAS A FAKE POST. I WAS TRYING TO BE SARCASTIC AND MOCK THE KOOL AID DRINKERS THAT SEEM TO PROLIFERA….ah, never mind. It ain't funny if I have to explain it.

The way Novo is going with this, promotion to use in moderate obesity is pretty obvious.

October 20th is D-Day from the FDA. Today is October 20th! Any news?

Expect the announcement around 5 I'd expect. But it should be soon...

Really odd. The FDA hasn't announced a single approval today.

Still no word. Not a single drug was approved today. The last activity the FDA had publicly was last Friday. Extremely odd.

Just relax, approval will come. The FDA often go over time.

Nothing "odd" here. The government moves slowly on everything it does. I would have been surprised if we actually got approval within 10 months.

Not to be the bearer of bad news but this is not normal for a drug that has a 14-1 AdCom vote.

Something is up and the drug, I do not believe, will still be approved. But something is being worked out (whether connected to pancreatitis or the thyroid c-cell tumors) some form of a post-approval commitment is being negotiated.

Whatever happened to Matthew, the 44 consecutive quarters guy, or the DBM that trained his/her people to get in 15 minute calls with hard closes? I want to know what they think before passing judgment.

Actually guys I wouldn't be that worried. You know the FDA only internally tries to meet 90% of the deadlines for PDUFAs on-time? A 2008 study put the rate at around 80% and there was little to no correlation to a "delay" meaning anything.

    This is 100% accurate.
