You guys call on orthopods? Really? or some ancient drug, DAMN! Those guys are the money makers for hospitals and have the device allegiance issue VS. Materials streamlining vendors. Why on Earth would any of tem even spare a minute for a drug rep?

Cluster 3 may in fact be "wiped out", but if you think Cluster 1 won't get hit and hit hard with 2-3 reps per territory and SHR's you are crazy! Just look at the Cluster 2 territories?
    Better check out those GPM rankings for the last 2. . . . . . . PM = ByeBye!!!

You guys were screwed a long time ago but were just too blind to see it.

Company car program that is one the worst around.
Company car reimbursement program that is the worst around. Pfizer reps driving used toyota Prius while other similar company reps have loaded toyota Camrys
    Career pathways is a joke.
Pension gone or going away for everyone.
    Bonuses getting smaller and smaller.
    Launching drugs with contract reps.
Micromanagement that has not and will never work yet continues.
R&D highly productive at producing failure.
Company can't buy its way out of this quagmire.

In a crappy economy, of course, you are just glad to have a job. The economy won't be crappy forever but Pfizer's problems have no end in sight.

C3 could be wiped out, but as it stands, it's only about 300 reps & managers nationwide. Toviaz isn't huge bucks but the overhead is low and V still benefits from urology sales calls. I actually think C3 is more of the model we'll see in the future as opposed to C1. It would suck for C3 to get whacked after already going through the bloodletting 20 months ago (that C1 dodged). But one thing I've learned over the past decade of layoffs, is that these layoffs are never really fair, nor do they focus on retaining top performers. It's a random cull, with some legal smokescreens provided by the consultants to minimize liability. Our fates are sealed, we're just waiting on the verdict.

Regardless of what happens, life goes on. Take the severance and move on. It sucks for those of us not quite retirement eligible, but I've lived modestly so I can handle a pay cut at my next job if I have to. It's been a good run, and I'm ready for whatever tomorrow and the coming months hold.

Good night and good luck to all - I sincerely hope you each get whatever it is that you want in the reorg.

C3 will not be completely wiped out. Both C1 and C3 will be effected. It will depend on the need per area. As always, it will come down to the need and where you live. The majority will come from C1 simply because of the larger head count and double coverage in so many areas. Best of luck to all.

Cluster 1-split bag with one rep getting lyrica/Viagra/toviaz, one rep getting lyrica/flector/embeda.
    Cluster3-chantix only, no dsr

Cluster 3 going down from 240 reps nationwide to 100.
11% cut in cluster 1 nationwide

    25%cut in rbd/dbm

Ahh, no wonder why the older lady in C3 is getting in 15 calls a day.
People, at this point it does not matter. Decisions have been made and there isn't a darn thing your manager can do to save you. So stop kissing butt and save your energy for getting another job.

If you recall we had a POA in late 2008 and then the huge cut took place January 30, 2009.
I remember well the tearful hugs and well wishing because we all knew what the future held. I was one of the casualties. I only hope my young former hotshot partners get to experience what I did five years ago!

Spot on. The truth is we are all numbers, nobody cares and the cake is already baked. Some HR calculated formula spits out retained/released list and none of us can alter what we get. I just wish "leadership" would apply the same "need to downsize" to themselves. There seems to be a need to reduce RM/DBM/DSR/PHR yet......no need to reduce RBD? Still need both CW and MG? An interesting top heavy leadership model.

We all have good jobs and interviewing in the unknown is scary. Just consider that getting a solid severance check and a new job is not the worst thing that can happen. If you get another job paying as much or more as you get now, you bank a nice chunk of money and come out ahead. I have recently tested the waters and I am pleasantly surprised at the number of good opportunity out there. Many companies, especially smaller ones, love the training we come with. Good luck to all of us, focus on yourself and your needs and be prepared either way.

"Getting a solid severance check and getting a new job". I LOVE how you say this as if it's 1998. Please list the headhunter that specializes in placing phrama reps that make in the neighborhood of 90-110K into similar paying positions. I beg you to go to GlassDoors and post the positions that we're eligible for that pay anything close to what we pay.

List these smaller companies that have sales rep openings with salaries 80-100 and a decent bonus plan, please.

Most pharma companies are paying between 65-75k including those with experience.
It's all about downsizing our life so Ian and major stockholders can increase theirs.
