Unfortunately I think you may be a little too late to begin the process. We are in the final interview stage and I just checked he Vivus website and it looks like all of the sales rep/dm postings are no longer there. Offers are being made between now and August 10th.

Check the PDI website for the rep jobs. But you are probably to late to game. Sorry. Good luck out there, we all know how tough it is.

Sue bixler was a hospital manager from Takeda. She is used to being treated like a big wig. Have fun (not)!

These DMs are either drinking koolaid or getting enormous pay or massive stock options because they work all the time and expect the contract reps to work like we are golden children but we are just red headed step kids with small paychecks, laughable bonus, miserable benefits and they are not planning to bring us on at year one like they said they would

plan your exit strategy - it is going to get worse

ya the only reason the posts are being deleted is because of someone's paranoia about the company finding out the ugly truth

No. I am not saying I know anything or that it is goign to happen, but if you are going to put it out there at least try not to start new rumors. What they have told us is that under the contract September was the end of the first year, PDI insisted that the contract state that there could be no shift until after the first year. August is the end of the first year. There is a lot that has to happen from there. Let's just hope it does.

it isn't going to happen. the board will sell the company long before then. having reps who can't sell the most talked about drug, the most anticipated drug? don't think so. dead weight.

Banghead Re: Managers

Micro-managing will not increase sales. It will, however increase vacant territories. More than half of my district is looling for a new job.

Argue Re: Managers

this company is so backwards.

Work the reps harder, that will drive business!
Pay them pennies for executive level screwups, that will drive business!
Demand more spreadsheets, routing and reports, that will drive business!

Never seen or worked for a bigger group of idiots running around throwing things at the wall and trying to figure out what works. And most of them overweight while pushing a weightloss med? Funny!

This is what pharma has become at every company. Worthless managers that were successful back in the day when every product was branded and on a formulary. Most VP's and managers could not sell in today's environment.

New direction. More spreadsheets. More conf calls. Change your routing. Oh, and don't go after what the comp plan rewards.

Thanks, Vivus.

What will be the direction next week? How many hours should I allow for conf calls, re-doing spreadsheets, pre-ride worksheets?

Pathetic.

You forgot to mention more time spent reading the looonnnnggg emails from DMs and RDs that provide zero value. Zero. Run on sentences are a job requirement.
