The job is horrible. Smile at your manager and act like you love it. Kiss the docs ass and bow down and kiss the earth they walk on. Best if you are a male in BI at least you will have an opportunity to get promoted. Not sure about other regions but here its the men the list of good old boys just seems to get longer and longer.

you got most of it right except the part about the "boys" getting promoted. in my district the only thing that matters is if you're female and hot. the rest of your credentials don't matter.

Senior Care is the gig Folks. You can stay home for months and no one notices.

yeah the CSC's and senior care divisions are just bleeding this company dry and they don't care - plus the fact that they keep fred white around just shows the astounding incompetence of this company

anything above primary care is just a waste of money - the docs don't view you any different and don't care what your title is. just drop off the samples and go away. the docs don't have time and don't want to be bothered. if it was up to them, there wouldn't be any reps period. just ask them.

I don't know why we have a Senior Care division and specialty. Just have a primary care rep cover everything in his/her zip code. What a complete waste of money. My senior care rep flies to a city gets a hotel and a rental car and drops off literature at the pharmacy then goes home.

No you just don't see them working because you are not in the nursing homes and PBMs! We are all in this together. Stop all this devisive bullcrap.

Sr. care does not call on PBM's.

And yes, we are all in this together.

i'm not implying - i'm stating PCP's work 10-2 and chase sigs to meet their reach and freq set by corp. that's a given. my point is that all other reps above that level work much less. Much, much less and they are a waste of time and money! boom! you just lost and have nothing else to say - now just go away and shut the fuck up.

you stop the bull shit and just be honest with yourself and don't pretend that we're in this together. we get shit on all the time as the red headed step children of this company when we're pulling all the weight and the everyone else gets the credit. that's bull shit!

Senior Care, Specialty and Institutional Rock! They get more done in a day than primary care does in a year. Grow up and see the future. All of my counterparts work their asses off. Managed Care on the other hand, could use a boost in places.

Did you just 'drop the mic' and do a stage exit. Maybe grab your junk while you walked off?

All field based teams serve a vital role in the company. Specialty reps build advocacy with specialists. ISR keep things moving in the hospital setting. PCP reps make sure that their docs keep the refills going. Sr Care manages their channel where many patients end up. And Managed care gets the formulary access that allows docs to prescribe. Yes, everyone has their role and all roles are important. To provide fair balance, all those roles have a number of knuckleheads, but most of them are ok.

Only field based people who I don't see the value from is the HSE team. What do they do?

Ask RP, the politician in Atlanta, what HSE does. They live in their own world with no collaboration. Why? Again a credentialed sales team that has no accountability as the specialists are selling not these folks. Doctors don't care you are sending in peers if they know they are just sales reps in disguise. Hse and csc are a true waste. They are like the old energizer bunnies they just keep going going going.

My senior care rep lives in a trailer. It is all good.

the really sad part about all this is that management will continue to drink the corporate kool aid and carry on the way the always have. they will never change and they only see these posts as lazy reps complaining. when will they wake up and realize what were saying here is for real?

BI is going down the toilet and will be only a $1.5B - $2B company in the U.S. in 3-4 years after Spiriva goes generic. I'm extremely happy I got out and at a growing company now.

I encourage many of you to get out. The company will not change when the same broken practices are occurring: 1. Promote only friends, 2. Have no strategy but duck, 3. Keep on pretending that everything is ok!
