Why the high turnover?

AM has had a few product specialists in SM's territory in the past 2 years. They flew in a guy from ATL who has been with AM for awhile and was actually very good. I can't say I disagree with that business decision because for that short time he was there, SM's team was relatively green, but I would say thats the exception and not the norm. The old fart there now is rather arrogant, disrespectful, whines daily about anything and everyone and tells everyone "he's only there for energy." Word on the street is energy isnt coming out anytime soon and 2 people very high up at AM cant stand him. But what do I know?

Bingo! AM has figured out the holy grail - you don't need to pay a rep to "sell" commodity products like trocars six figures.

Sounds like nobody is working and most of the salesforce is posting on this board:)

It's just a matter of time before Said replaces the majority of his sales force with catalogs. He is always looking for new ways to save money and Applied sells products that 90% of doctors don't give a shit about.

Are things getting any better with Applied turnover?

Applied just announced company wide pay increases for every sales employee this past Monday so things seem to be on the up and up.

How many people have been fired or quit recently?

There's probably 3000+ people at the company. People are hired and fired/leave every day.

If applied fires one person a day that is about 15 percent of your workforce each year. How can you possibly be surprised with all the negative posts???? I don't believe I have ever heard of a company that fires so many people. You do realize reputation is something that you earn.

I don't think they fire a person every day. I'm sure people leave every day either from being fired or on their own. How many people do you think are hired every day too? More than are leaving. That's how a company grows.

Why are you so mad about everything at Applied? If you don't like it, there's something really quick and easy you can do about it. I never understood why people just sit around gripping and complaining about something rather than doing something about it.

You know what you should do: you should form a union! Yea! That way, you could complain and whine and bitch all day long to your union bosses, and they can force the company to comply to your stupid demands. Damn....why hasn't anyone thought of that sooner?!?! You should totally do that.

I am not surprised that they fire 1 person a day. That way they can turnover their entire staff about every 8 years. Cheaper wages that way.

Applied has minimal turn over because it is a great place to work with cutting edge products that help patients everyday. The management team is solid and well trained and we really want to help the sales people in the field. We are making every effort to keeps these boards positive so we can recruit and keep top talent

Chant that 50 times a day and maybe some day it will be true (but it isn't today). This is ridiculously far from our reality.
