The crybaby Ackman must be back from vacation. I wonder if he knows how whiney he sounds! Like a spoiled little brat who never grew up. "No one likes you or wants to play with you Billy. Go home!!!!"

    from Ackman's letter...

"We are now working to obtain the consents to call a special meeting, and upon their receipt, we will ask the board to call the meeting. While under the company's highly restrictive and cumbersome special meeting mechanics, you have the ability to delay the meeting for up to 120 days, we on behalf of Allergan's other shareholders ask that you do not delay the inevitable any further."

It doesn't sound like he's made much progress.

Why does he think the outcome is inevitable - because he always gets what he wants?? Oh dear, Billy's going to be very upset this time - what a shame!!

If Herbalife is an indicator, Ackman won't give up easily.

    Dear Billy,

Good luck w VRX surviving long enough to acquire AGN

Allergan knows their customers and competitors a little more than you.

It's as inevitable an outcome as Pearson becoming a swimsuit model! Hardly inevitable - but I guess a boy can always dream! Loser!!!!

Interesting developments may make Billy's ball game a bit tougher...

"Lew's letter will also hinder Valeant's (VRX) efforts to acquire Allergan (AGN), as the Treasury Secretary's statement will bolster Allergan's argument that Valeant's tax assumptions could be overly positive..."

Bye bye, Billy-no-mates - time to take your ball home!!

Best line from Ackman's letter to AGN board today: "If one spreads false and misleading information for the purpose of driving down Valeant’s stock price, that is market manipulation, plain and simple"

I once heard of a hedge fund that was having a bad year in 2012 because they had made a poor strategic change at JCPenney, and then on December 20th 2012 they released a 334 slide presentation with a target price of $0 for a company in which they had a large short position and the price plummeted 40% over the next week so the fund could mark its books and lock in its fees for the year ended December 31st. The stock tripled the following year when a number of the claims did not come true. Damn, can't remember the name of the fund who did this. I bet Ackman would excoriate them for spreading false and misleading information for the purpose of driving down the stock price though.

LOL!!! Exactly!!! Ackman is the king of stock manipulation and insider trading . . . He should be behind bars. How about announcing a 3rd bid for Allergan on May 30th 2 hrs before the market close before Allergan even responds to second offer causing both AGN and VRX stock to sky rocket knowing full well he was planning on calling a special meeting that following Monday. Then declaring the market has spoken and supports this deal. I got to give him credit how he does this stuff with a straight face is amazing. This guy for all intents and purposes is a criminal yet accuses everyone else of being a illegal behavior.

There are so many words that come to mind here

Irony- BA lecturing Allergan board on credibility and reputation

Hypocrisy- saying that Allergan doesn't know Valeant in the same letter as pointing out that it's Goldman, it's chief advisor, did the underwriting for Valeant

Lying - saying that he would support Allergan walking away if it found malfeasance, beyond what is publicly available, when in fact he's legally obligated to support a deal

Manipulation - appearing as though he is rooting for further increase in the price of the deal when in fact his portion is capped and therefore his incentive would be to keep the deal as low as possible

In over your head- admitted having no knowledge of the industry, and his only other venture that comes close in herbal life is a great failure

Desperation - clawing to expedite a 120 day timeline that he has yet to start because of the pressure on Valeant's stock and legislative reviews of tax loopholes during an election season

Brushing aside - the fact that "mind and matter" must be located in the country that the inversion will take place, by today's laws, when he is located in NYC and Valeant is located in New Jersey

Projection - claiming that Allergan exposed Valeant, as opposed to recognizing that the bid itself caused analysts started analyzing
