If these truly are the golden years I'm going to keep driving fast, drinking heavily and partaking in every mode of risk-taking behavior that I can. "Hot 37 year old Neighbor?" I just threw up in my mouth seeing that and Viagra in the same sentence

I've been trolling cafepharma for about 8-9 years now. This is one of the all-time best posts, period. (Right behind it, though, are the hundreds of MH posts from 2003 or so. Damn, those were funny!) I find it hard to believe that you are a Pfizer rep or DM!

Pfizer retiree here. I think the "old geezers" making these posts on here fail to remember that they were once a young rep. We probably had some of the same attitudes that we are criticizing today. What we should be doing is encouraging our younger representatives that they can separate themselves from other companies by being a true professional in each office. Things such as being respectful of the time you spend on each visit, being prepared to bring value to the offices, understanding that offices may have limitations concerning formulary issues, and that all patients are not a candidate for a Pfizer product you are promoting. Physicians will have a greater respect for you if are able to realize this. To all my retired colleagues, enjoy your time left on this earth, let these younger reps do their thing, and maybe the will be in the same position that we are today. And maybe, they will have a greater understanding and appreciation for us. And please, for the retiree who made the comment regarding his use of Viagra, we don't need your sexual habit history to let all of us know you still are alive. These comments add nothing to your credibility as a professional. You sound like a frustated horny old man.

FOLLOW THESE CURRENT EVENTS YOU STUPID IGNORANT FOOL. Can you read a post. It already made the statement you REPEATED as if it did not exist that a company can freeze a pension. You don't understand what that means. Freezing a pension only means that a company will not longer fund a pension from that date forward of when the pension was frozen. IT DOES NOT UN-OBLIGATE THE TERMS OF THE PENSION PLAN TO EMPLOYEES PRIOR TO THE DATE OF FREEZING THE PENSION PROGRAM. You missed one obvious point that a company can be SUED by its pensioners if they tried to walk away from a pension program CONTRACT. Yes, a pension is a contract (YOU LIITLE PENIS) and contract disputes or illegal disolving of contracts can be taken up in court which, my friend, is one reason why there is something called a LEGAL SYSTEM IN THE US. Look it up. So, that is why companies like United Airlines, and others who have underfunded their pensions do not just walk away from their obligations stupid. If it would be as easy as you claim, you would see hundreds of companies, including state gov'ts walk away from pension obligations. Your not educating anyone to the fact the PBGC is in arrears idiot, but if you know anything about the fed. gov't. then you would also know that being in arrears does not matter when it comes to creating a deficit for this obligation just as you may have noticed your democratic friends have made sure we have a 3 trillion dollar deficit for the future generations. I am a young female who obviously has more brains that you can imagine. You talk alot of BS, but the bottom line is that any company that has tried to walk away from the pension obligations, get sued by the pensioners, and is guaranteed by the gov't who has fulfilled those pension obligations to date. So you can pretend ALL FUCKING DAY LONG THAT A COMPANY CAN JUST WALK AWAY, AND BS ABOUT UNDERFUNDING, but the existing pensioners are still receiving their pensions. Now go fuck off and put your feet in the real world for a change.

Your post #10 is flat out wrong. A company cannot defund an existing pension program. It can only freeze one. You are double talking and do not understand what you are saying. That is what you get from gen. X,Yer's who think that people acutally believe the BS they vomit. The rest of your posting above is dream land, or bla bla bla. What companies have defunded a pension. NONE. Some have underfunded pension that the PBGC now has control over, but read my lips. NO COMPANY CAN WALK ALWAY FROM AN EXISTING PENSION JUST BECAUSE YOU THINK YOU CAN DREAM IT UP. Stop living in la la land for a change.

Dont even bother about trying to explain to a bunch of just put it one the credit card abusers of debt that they will never be able to pay off that they would understand what smart, educated, people have done to keep their lifestyle in retirement. These turds will not experience what you know as a good retirement. They are too busy buying their designer everything, living way above their means on credit to comprehend what you are trying to say. Rest assured, you are living the good life, and they unfortunately will be renting an appartment at your age.

One of the goals of the new Republicans in Congress is to remove these type of 'job killing' regulations on business. They want businesses to be able to do what ever they want.

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/08/17/AR2006081700139.html

The law enacted yesterday requires companies to fully fund defined-benefit pension plans over seven years, closes loopholes allowing underfunded plans to skip payments and forces companies that underfund their plans to pay higher premiums to the pension corporation. Funding provisions of the law will not take effect for two years to provide time for a transition, and the airline industry and certain government contractors were given a break in meeting them. Airlines that have frozen their pension plans, Delta and Northwest, will have 17 years instead of seven to fully fund them, while others will get 10 years.

Well that was 6 years ago, no wonder that companies are going to contract sales forces with that kind of regulation. Thanks Bush.

Unfunding, underfunding and/or raiding a pension fund is fraud and theft, plain and simple.

If the gobblement would just do their Constitutionally powered and mandated jobs of prosecuting crimes, we wouldn't need an ounce of this damned commie-virus regulation burdening this country into the ground.

It's corrupted from top to bottom.

I'm a mid-thirties PFE rep and I get more sex from the twentysomethings now than I did 10 years ago. It's sooo easy - even the marrieds. Ladies, thank you for your sexual liberation and intent to screw as many and as often as you feel like it. Even you married chicks - I love your spontaneous willingness for a good time!
