    Crystal Ball: in early 2014 the diabetes team ramps up to include AZ, the aquired BMS diabetes franchise and the expansion of Publicis teams to effect the launch of a new class portfolio. This under the leadership in effect, BJ Jones. In the early days of launch, several C-level gurus jump ship, in the middle of a launch no doubt. That regime was focused on integration and collaboration of all selling teams. We seemed to be at least at face value on the same page. Must have been working. Globally we were kicking ass and surpassing the trend of our largest OAD competitors. All the while, a storm is brewing as to who's in charge of this ship??? As 2014 continues on, there is a transition to a new crew who for whatever reason determined share of voice, collaborative teams, and MC positioning were a futile waste of time and energy. From the ashes a new superpower emerges. An adult that were forced to call Topher. 2015 and Mr Brooks rolls his dice. 1. Fracture your sales teams 2. Fracture your portfolio 3. Bank on circumventing MC with a savings card and 5. Do nothing you say you'll do. This combined with Mr Hudsons genius and here we are, losing market share by the second, canibalizing our people and our drugs, all the while being duped to believe, "You're the best. You can do it. You must find a way!" Oh, and wait for a call to see if we need your services any longer. From my vantage point, the Puba's don't seem to have a handle on vision or strategic planning for success. This is a very different thing than hanging on till the boat actually sinks. If your looking for a good meal, look no further. You've been set up to eat your partners...alive.

    That was an excellent summary of what did and is happening to our diabetes teams. If only they would listen to their people.

    It's amazing how fast AZ has declined in diabetes. From killing it in 2014, everyone engaged and cooperating to this. The exact opposite.

    Someone better take notice and sooner than later. These insane maneuvers cost people who did what was asked of them and more their jobs. Shame on you AZ! While the big dogs more often leave with golden umbrellas, we working folk are left to look for the lube and when you can't afford to buy it, just have to take it dry. Look up Topher Brooks! Look up Paul Hudson! Your minions are dying on the vine and so is your company. It doesn't have to be this way!!!

    Topher is a joke! None of this will affect his resume. This is merely a minor blip on his stellar career. Who in the He!! put this A$$ clown in charge? Why did they let him destroy what we had worked so hard to build? It's like that other clown they put in the White House, look at the irreparable harm he has done. The commonality is that both clowns will come out of this fine, while the rest of us suffer the results.

    Did anyone notice that we are going to be cross trained to "sample" each others products so we don't have to be trained again. This is Gophers effort at trying to fix what he fu**ed up. However, he won't admit the strategy needs to change and hopes that by people saying they have this or that sample will mean better share of voice.

    In this case it's schizophrenic "leaders" that have no idea how to manage let alone lead a brand or a sales team.

    I don't know what schizophrenia really is, but unqualified to lead is the definition of many managers at AZ. Anointed to become managers just because they got to be trainers, AMROS or otherwise, most spend all their time manipulating other people and situations because in reality they know nothing. They don't know how to motivate or inspire people to do their best. But as I look around, motivation and inspiration is not the AZ way.

    Schizophrenia is that manager who when with reps expresses disdain and outright hate for their CBD or EBD or other DSMs. They criticize strategy, competence and qualifications to have the job in the first place. Then when witnessed at meetings or on teleconferences this same opinionated person is a total kiss ass. Two personalities. That is schizophrenia.

    Wrong, no one kicked ass, AZ sucks ass and since the gift of big products is over we're at the point of the rats on the sinking ship.

    No one -- no one -- in "leadership" at AZ has character. It is all about money for me, boys and girls.
