So, would you really say there's any 'research' in R&D at Valeant - do you need a brain to work there??

It's great . Nobody knows you are there and no one understands what you do , so you are free to do anything you want. That is , until the next time they need to cut cost and look at the head counts.

Plenty of R&D to be had for those "hungry" enough for it...
...and for those that are willing to use their pretty mouths while praying real hard on their knees...

    We can't even spell R&D.

come on - a jublia approval means the FDA believes the drug works, first to market. that needs real R&D.

Let's see you handle an hour on an earnings call - doubt you'd do any better

He is a known idiot. Why do you feel you have to defend him?

I'm not the CEO and Chairman in charge of a multi billion dollar eye health business. He is.

That's because these businesses are strictly financial assets to him, all about the dollars. He could care less about products, patients, doctors, and employees except to the extent they make him money.

Yes. Pearson has always been clear on this.

this is totally not true. People here in Valeant know that programs ARE being funded. How on earth do you think R&D continues to deliver products to market in surgical, derm, contact lenses, Rx?
Please stop the nasty and untrue posts you are doing so much unfair damage

    1. YES, it is true.
    2. Valeant buys up companies, uses up their R&D quickly to get something to market, and then that is it.
    3. VALEANT operates their ENTIRE business in this fashion.
    4. Do you or your family members want to take ANY prescription meds made by this company, since this is how they operate their very own manufacturing facilities in this manner?

See? To VRX, it's all about cutting every cost, every cent, cGMP be damed, as long as the CEO and wallstreet investors are making money, that is all that matters. It is all about fudging the numbers, making things APPEAR on paper like it is all legit, even when it is not. NOT!!!

But of those projects, how many actually require any intellectual input? Hasn't all the R&D been done by the time Valeant gets their hands on any acquired products? To come back to the original question - do you really need a brain?!

Clearly coming from someone who is not in R&D. It has been gutted and there are almost no basic capabilities left. It would be impossible for the organization to do any real development work. For any remaining R&D personnel, it's a place to get paid to look for a real job. People leaving every week. Valeant will eventually learn that they can't be in this industry without R&D personnel who understand the products.

Yes, there spending a little on R&D, but it's outsourced clinical work or regulatory filings.

I try not to be cynical , but you'd have to be the most clueless and naive employee at valeant, or as Occam's razor dictates, a shill.

Exactly! Sounds to me like that person is a desk jockey shuffling papers around getting way overpaid and completely clueless as to the REAL dire situation at this sham company.
