now that fillers are sold off to Galderma, what is going on with Obagi and Solta divisions? What's the plan for these businesses - sell them off too?

Yes but those were not as big of a rush because we had to hide restalyne going from first to fourth, declining 20% since we purchased it, and needed something big enough for accounting "flexibility" in the absence of an acquisition.

The reason Medicis aesthetic products declined at such a large percent because Valeant stopped giving the product away for free and stopped the perks. Same will happen to Allergan products I f first, they acquire them and second, Valeant stops the perks. Just sayin

What BS. Medicis aesthetics declined AFTER Valeant bought them by 20% a year because the ass clowns at Valeant Including RW, JS, RV, WL, EB etc couldn't market ice in the desert. Only idea was to bribe and payoff doctors with special deals. Nightmare is over.

You must be mistaking Medicis for Valeant. Medicis was INFAMOUS for bribing docs. Fly fishing trips, Vegas march madness trips with bookies, name the account you want your rebate check To go to, over 500 consulting agreements, and on and on. Te whole industry knew what Medicis was. You only need 20 lawyers if you are breaking the law. Interesting how they paid for the "most ethical companies" award. Hahn! Every company gets that offer but most don't bother paying a fee for it because they don't have to cover up so much. The reason Medicis brands dropped was because merz launched new products and have away tons of free product to take share, voluma came out and drove up share even though it took a huge amount from
Juvederm, and allergan increased patient rebates steadily over 14 months while Valeant cut all patient rebates off. Not to mention they got rid of all the illegal Medicis deals- "doc buy a bunch now and I'll give you free samples every month for the next six months". What did you expect to happen?

Medici was the master of customer service, something VRX overlooked.

Exactly. Valeant is out of this game perminently and Allergan will have a real challenge with galderma who are good in this space, instead of Allergan mopping up the category for the last 18 months while Valeant was flopping like a fish out of water

The impact of Vrx will take Galderma time to recover from. They have the right vision, just need the right people. I hope RW and his team of yes men were removed. If those incompetent fools are around, the impact will linger longer than it needs to. EB and company need to go back to pharma.

We can only hope Todd will catch on and eliminate the Valeant trash that floated in like EB and RV. Only after they are gone can we build a successfull division.

Not so hot- they paid a steep price and will not have the latitude Medicis had when promoting the products. There is a lot of pressure on profits and growth.

If you thought posting the above would get Galderma reps defensive and get in a "pissing match" with you, you were wrong :). Our new family is very happy with us and us with them!

Unfortunately, only 12% of the sales force is from Medicis. The rest are new or from Vrx. All leadership (above local managers) is new or from Vrx. Only 3 of 16 local managers were managers at Medicis. Everyone else is new and its very clear.
    Check your facts asshole.
