At the RMRS group meeting in Atlanta next week a certain Group Leader will be announcing his resignation, effective April 1 (after finishing and collecting bonuses, end of year reviews, etc.).

This is b******t. Why would he do that and walk away from a potential package?

Under his watch, a manager broke HR and legal rules and the company had to make a big settlement. He is guilty of negligence, if not outright complicitity in the activity, in not overseeing and preventing the situation. Now that the manager has been shuffled off to a dead end position on the way out of the company, he likely feels that he is next to be targeted by senior management.

    Did he do it?

No. Everyone wants him gone though. No one trusts his strategy or leadership. He has backed us into a corner where we can't do anything important anymore. Plus he willingly sold out one of us to protect his own direct report, a manager, who he knew was guilty. Just a piece of the corportae machine with no concern except for protecting his own job.

So wait... the guy was going to resign because management might have been on him for something, but now you say he has no concern about protecting his own job.

Those two things are pretty much opposites. It makes no sense, and reflects more upon the teller of the story than the subject.

If I had to guess who was the cancer in the organization, my finger would be pointing at you.

In other words, he was acting exactly like a Pfizer executive! He is not worthy of trust, loyalty, respect or admiration--yet demands all of them and uses PIPs to intimidate his employees into submission. Sounds like a Pfizer exec to me.

Next to go should be the team leaders. There are a few, especially some females in the ranks, that are not only ineffective but incompetent as well.

Poster # 6 obviously doesn't work here or he would understand how bad the group leader is. How else to explain the presentation he made last week? Under the new guidance he negotiated and agreed to, it is now the policy that SALES REPS can proactively discuss more scientific information and clinical data with HCPs than we can discuss with KOLs!! WTF!? We can only meet KOLs to discuss possible service based activity? Hey moron, you ever counted exactly how many ad boards or DSMBs there are to go around? He has no clue because HE NEVER WORKED AS A FIELD MEDICAL LIAISON! That is classic Pfizer Peter Principal in action. Go follow your asskisser GA to a dead end job where you can spend your whole day making stupid ass slides.
