On a leadership webcast Jan Nissen said she has received many questions on where we stand with reaching our goal of 15x15 and said that we had to deal with unforeseen market issues and haven't had any successful launches in a while. But that is going to change. We have 13 products being approved over the next year. She said we are now looking at 20x20. My question is not the stupid goal but if the future is so bright and we have so many drugs getting approved in the next year why are we laying off so many reps and managers?
Breakthrough or me-too products? Product extension? Combo of generics? Many of these with less sales potential can be handled by contract sales people or just a direct mailing to say, "Hey, we now have a lower dose of XYZ."
Approved and going to be approved are worlds apart. This company treats these two facts as one in the same. Been doing it for years. Far from the reality of the situation.
