I also heard this, so it must be true. I heard it directly from the "tooth fairy"!

 

Packages...what packages? A pittance to make the company look good. PR at its worst.

 

Although I do appreciate the humor and sarcasm here sometimes there is some people that are really worried such as myself. Is there any truth to the rumor is about a package for current hospira employees? I would appreciate any serious replies thank you.

When/If a package is coming to you, you will be notified by your manager, mail, email or some form of official communication. You won't hear it on CP

 

some jobs were just posted today so you sure your info is accurate?

About what? You'll get 2 was pay for every year with Hospira, healthcare for 30 days, your 401k can stay with t.rowe, and you will be severed from the company and left on your own to find a job....with the shitty outplacement firm they provide.

You're Gonna have to Start fresh, and start ALL OVER again somewhere Else !
I wish I could say that everything's all good but I'd be lying
There's way better outfits than Hospira that are hiring Just be aggressive
and land one Don't be suprised if it's WORSE than HSP with way lower base and
piss poor benefits !

 

If you do find something and it's NOT a Pharma Co. Then

The packages they handed out today are crap. Always on a Friday so they can run and hide for a few days before we can tell them so.

If you come here for accurate info on anything, you're nuts.
The packages will come...when is anyone's guess. My educated guess based on going thru two takeovers is once you're dumped, you'll get your 90 days of regular pay. After that you'll get your severance within a week or two. You may think you're being screwed, but you won't be. Too many eyes and auditors watching.

My advice, do nothing but look for another job, keep your mouth shut, and wait. As soon as the 90 day period is done, register for unemployment. And yes, you can collect unemployment even if you get a million dollar severance. Anyone who tells you different is wrong. Exception, there are one or two states that have some restrictions.
