How is it at Bayer Oncology? I understand they are trying to build an Onc team and have a new PC product. It looks like there is a smaller sales force/opportunities to move up in the company. What is management like? How are the territories/individual managers? Is Bayer a big-pharma oncology company or business minded?

    Thanks!

Bayer is trying to build a company but are soo big pharma , they will never succeed as an oncology company. If you like big pharma oncology model, bayer is right in the mix. If your looking for an oncology company don't even think about bayer, you will be very disappointed.

Sadly they are making business decisions that make no sense and will lose top talent in Q1

Top talent was recruited in 2005 to build the division and vacated the premises many years ago.

Batter oncology is best in class - great leadership, excellent pipeline. Unfortunately, they had to cancel the Presidents Circle Award due to lower sales than expected.

Good reps dropping like flies - To Ipsen, Astellas, Genomic Health

I wouldn't recommend Bayer if you have any Oncology experience-you will be disappointed with the PC model they employ. If you are just getting into Onc-congrats and take it.

BTW-reorganization is just around the corner again for us in March/April.

What is interesting about this post is that most companies have ton of turn over this time of the year. They all have the same consultants and it is very sad to see companies let great people leave. Sounds like these other companies are getting some good people. Good luck to those who have made recent changes and hopefully the leadership will be fair at your new place.

Not all companies in oncology have this much turnover this time of year. There wasn't here this time last year. Our culture has radically changed for the worse and continues to go down the drain. Sure hope they stop the bleeding but looks like they will just hire inexperienced cheaper folks.

Bayer continues to hire less qualified reps with little or some oncology experience that are willing to embrace the primary care culture that Phil Blake is driving down through the entire organization at bayer. SC and RC are no longer able to keep oncology safe from Phil's insanity. Wish the leadership in Germany would realize how bad Phil is for business, he isn't going to hit his numbers in 2015 with the way he is running the company and he wont in 2016, but by then most of us will be gone either through restructuring or better opportunities. Happy New Year!

Has SC or RC ever been able to do anything? 2 phoneys that have been able to duck responsibility for years. And SC ankles are as big as my thighs!! :)

You know it is bad when you read your shout out and it says to follow the playbook. I kid you not. Our meeting in Orlando says so. Primary Care molded into oncology. You would not give this company a second thought if you were looking to come here Stay away!!!!! It is totally primary care with idiots at the helm.

SC is such a loser, her entire marketing team is running for the hills, shame phil or someone doesn't call her out on her ineptness, RC is just an Oscar award winning asskisser. If they only had someone that knew what they were doing Bayer oncology could be a great place to work. Unfortunately, right now its a primary care nightmare, with assclowns running the place.

I would guess that RC licks his balls at night.

RC does not lick his own at night. It is PB's which he licks. Joyfully too.
