Not a fan of the Clobex spray at all. It seems wasteful as a good amount goes airborne. I also have asthma and you can't get away from the off-spray from this stuff unless you spray and run from the room. Or, put clothes on and spray underneath your clothes.

Check the PI. There is an IQ requirement when applying.

Kind of a mute point. It goes generic this December. They already signed the deal years ago with a generic company. If you like it great - the cost will go down and it will be the same product. if you do not like it get a generic cream or ointment clobetasol is clobetasol. It will work great what ever you use. Spray is a great product but a bit overpriced.

good catch- but the post was correct. Clobex Spray still going off patent and the IMS numbers continue to slide. Best days of the company are long gone. Hey English professor maybe you can get a substitute gig assuming your days in dermatology are numbered.

Wow - if Clobex Spray goes this December does that mean that there will be more layoffs at the end of the year? I think the product generates something like a 100,000,000 million plus in profit per year. How the hell are we going to make that up? The Rx products seem to be fairly flat as I look at the numbers. Not good and it is not just the goofs in the sales team out there, A lot of home office people depend on these products as well to deliver profit each year.

Clobex Foam will be out right after that, so all is well.

That is BS - Olux is already out and is a foam and is now off patent so the line is dead - i know you are kidding but the truth is we are not even innovative enough to keep the line going with a lame- line extension. The above post is probably correct about more potential layoffs the new president is simply a profit and loss guy and only has so many levers to pull to increase profits and pay back Nestle for the investment on the aesthetic side. Not to mention he has zero relationships in Derm and has not demonstrated an ability to build relationships with Key customers.

Any clown can cut and layoff people we still need real vision and leadership and not really seeing any at this time.

I have been in the derm industry a long time. Most derm companies use to be lead by people with both field and derm experience; and as they moved up through the ranks, they developed relationships with key derms, both in private practice and acedemics throughout the country. These were truly leaders in the industry, good team builders, and simply great business man/women. They really grew the derm businesses, and times were pretty good.
Now, most top positions are being filled by the company board of directors with MBA financial warriors that have no sense of the industry, no relationships with the derm community, and little knowledge on how to truly advance the company through this market space. They simply have theories on how to increase the bottom line for any ole' company making widgets; and they feel that they can do this from the confines of a distant ivy tower office and a computer. As their companies lose greater amounts of business under their incompetent execution of textbook theories, they resort to the lamest trick in the book which is cutting expenses everywhere. A company "leader" that goes this route has proven he/she has no vision for the future of a company, and is simply trying to squeeze out a little profit, before the board notices their mistake of putting people like that into key company positions.
Unfortunately, it is a mindset that has been bred into our society over the last decade through our universities. Also, as our companies become owned and centrally managed by European bureaucrats, you can bet, the leadership will not improve, and companies will continue to rot from within, with profits shown from cuts, not growth.
