Total waste of time and money. Should've done regionals and used the cash to push a decent sales contest. Would've been more fianancialky sound just to leave the reps in the field. Marketing and Executive Management completely disconnected from sales process. Sadness.

I've been reading this a lot and I have to say:

Sales process is not really as rocket science as you make it out to be. Consistantly call on customers to sell features and benefits, identify and tag patients and close through various methods, collect paperwork, notes and take care of four customers (gatekeepers, MA's, Drs. and their patients) Then some administrative work.

Doesn't really take someone years and years of experience to "get it" (as some of you say). It's a numbers game and highly focused customer service. The job takes someone who is a "people person", customer service oriented, high integrity , knowledgable( or willing to learn ) motivated to exceed goals and a good communicator who is able to build relationships quickly.

Some people yell and scream about long relationships with physicians but sometimes even though the rep thinks the Dr. is loyal; they get use to new reps pretty fast. It takes about three -four contacts for them to get use to a newbie (as long as the rep follows up, contacts patients and is efficient)

It takes years of trust and learning. Company is trying to waste our valuable time by having us make serial calls rather than take care of bonofide orders.

The emails this week were the straw that broke the camel's back. Found them to be humiliating and counter productive.

Which emails were those? Were they from your director of sales about using CRM?
