A mix of all of it. The last expansion and subsequent hires are toddlers and mid-rangers.

Past good but not good now. If you're much over 40 and have acquired high level skills expect to be be tossed into the trash bin? A bad situation for this company and strongest applicants if this is true.

No, there are tons of over forty. There weren't many under that until the past few years. I'm guessing that's what the poster meant
Some women here still act like they're 21 even though they're in their forties, or older. Typical pharma, and the men are douchebags. I miss the old otsuka.

Depends on which department you're asking about. For field sales upper management and DMs it's the rejects that big Pharma didn't want anymore.

Some of the RDs are really full of themselves.

You clearly haven't been in big pharma. Ask around and you'll figure out quickly that Big Pharma is one big void of talent. Launch a drug once every 10 years and get paid big dollars to differentiate on MC. Creme of the Crop big pharma is not. Loser

    Its all about resume, baby.
Got a strong one, its hot and these candidates are not easy to come by.
Get past the bull sh++ers who get good placements in all companies. Half of them are light in experience and everything else.

A boring resume with limited abilities and narrow work functions is not cream of the crop. We all know the pharma awards are a laughing stock. Who kisses ass and gets the award then gets ahead. In the end awards can be meaningless when work quality and professionalism are considered. Quality, intelligence, appearance, respectability, ability to understand the product and disease state and how they are perceived by customers is more important. This makes for cream of the crop. Customers always want classy, smart, respectable people.

Talent is all opinion because someone can have a great career then have a manager change and be called talentless. If you sell and get results you have the talent. How can you have years of success then be told you can;t sell, its ridiculous. No one can sell without managed care.

Success yesterday doesn't mean your successful today. Environment has changed drastically with significant challenges, some "good reps" will not adjust or they don't have the skill set to adjust.

That's true but no one can argue that terrible managed care or a terrible manager can kill your career. We have some terrible managers here that are screwing great reps.

Explain this skill set reps no longer have, and the challenges that are new and all the adjusting that isnt happening. This will be fascinating reading.

One of the best resume builders is to be on the Regional Conference Call Committee.

Answer...if you're to be taken for real.

"Explain this skill set reps no longer have, and the challenges that are new and all the adjusting that isnt happening. This will be fascinating reading."

If anything...seems like the environment allows less interaction compared to years ago.

If it's the Northeast Blue team ROM that
Idiot RD ML hired AS from the DC area.
A complete suck up corporate climbing phony
People in his district despise him. They had
Several excellent candidates but ML chose
This Stanley tool because they were buddies
At another company prior to this waste
    Land .
