G is the model of a company that lies to its employees to keep them on the hook. Ask anyone in the Rx division. Nestle is looking for its return on investment - and goals will only go up from here.

In other words you (original poster) suck at your job. We don't need dead weight at a thriving company. Shit or get off the pot. Stop complaining!

Thriving company? Arguable. IMS sales Rx sales still in a very deep decline. Patent life? Clock continues to tick.

Aesthetics ? Jury is still out and our management does not have the customers and or rep focus to truly build the business and pay what will be required to keep top drawer aesthetic reps for the long term. The company only really knows an Rx model and that has been in steep decline for several years and just a few failed launches of late to show for it. Not to mention several of the posters on this subject have consistently posted the truth on this site. If you are new to the company and like it that is great, But the ones that have been here for several years know the truth and what was once a great company and a true career opportunity is now in the past. Glad i had a good run but don't kid yourself that this is a thriving company. When the one share holder had to infuse almost 1.4 billion to acquire aesthetic products to keep it alive. Or else they would have been forced to sell what is left of the Rx products while they still could. Not to mention now the share holder wants their payback. Hence ,the steep unrealistic goals for profit and payback in the near term.

Your problem with "this place" appears to have more to do with your dislike for other cultures and less to do with anything substantial! Sad!

The post about other cultures is inappropriate. However, HA destroyed the US Rx team for several years with his ridiculous goals that totally ignored what was realistic from a Market share and script count perspective. Now we have a bunch of people in the US that are trying to build an aesthetic company and really have no clue how to run that business successfully and retain the right type of sales people to make it a long term success. Also, that video that our new so called leader of the Rx Business unit was embarrassing. It is a shame when we get a women in a leadership role and she cannot display a plan and or a vision just a bunch of management garbage she picked up in a book or at business school - I feel sorry for her - she does not seem to have a clue how to run the Rx unit and or make it a success. What is the pipeline? What is your vision ? How will we win? She has no idea.

The point is related not to other cultures, but a lack of understanding by those in leadership positions of the U.S. market. Look at the ridiculous premium G paid for the aesthetics portfolio (which they already owned throughout the world).

Say what you want about MP at Valeant - if you had a company to run, and you wanted profitability - who would you hire him or HA? MP might not be a nice guy, but he knows a sucker when he sees one, especially one with a big checkbook backed by a Euro chocolate company. Valeant sold high - and now they are putting wrapping paper on Obagi for G to overpay once again. Truth!

Re Valeant good points. Obagi is a 100% waste the products are outdated plain and simple.

I was promised a real opportunity at my interview with the A/C sales team. The Mgr and Area Director said it was a 20K per qtr comp structure. This is only true for a small minority of the salesforce in this division, look at the most recent sales rpts. Honestly, most will make under 10K and many will ONLY get the 2K Silk (kicker). There are 12 rep openings according to the last report, this is due to steep goals and a horrible IC Plan. Everyone knows this IC plan is garbage, admit its screwed up and fix it, same with the goals. BOTH are broken... if this isn't fixed there will be a mass exodus; those 12 openings will be 30 before you can say Perlane Midface!!!

Your biggest problem is math! There are 6 positions open in A/C- NM, TX, 2 NY, CA, and Seattle and yes, I looked at the most recent report.

Please don't let the door hit you on the way out!

Another mass exodus threat. It's been almost two full weeks, you must have been busy.
Settle the f down. If there are problems, they will be fixed. G has been very fair since day 1. If you bail every time things are imperfect you'll have a new job every 2 or 3 years.
Hang in or get out. Stop bitching.

take the emotion of of this board and look at the facts that are known .

1: Old timey managers will jump on this board and tell you if you don't like it here get lost . It's because they can't leave , too much at stake and out of date skill sets means they will attack the new thinker or the outspoken . All many of them KNOW is Galderma .

2 : Most A/C and PHARMA companies are not paying their sales people as much as even four years ago . While the economy improves wages , salaries remain at pre crises levels .

3 : Galderma comp plan has become difficult to understand , it is changing every other week and tends to favor the few . The system is out dated and broken . Other companies are invested in newer models that reward profit bought in , market share obtained and kept etc. Hawaii and Texas win Rx awards every year , the rest are running the race with one leg , especially managers with difficult MC in their districts , forget even trying .

4 : In its effort to show a less ' good ole boy Texas culture ' Galderma have rushed to promote several females recently that appear to be epic fails in the making . Point taken from another poster about head of Rx .

5 : One poster ( home office ) snapped about turn over , this is a scary fact for cool aid drinkers , turn over has been evident in the last two years . Don't give me some BS about average tenure being just under 10 years . Come out from behind your desk and go to a sales meeting . Half the attendees are at their first dam meeting . But if it makes you feel better , here is some sand , now apply your head .

6 : We who are still here are hopeful that the company under Nestle's watchful eye will offer a brighter future , but there is plenty of house cleaning and home office mind set change needed before we get ahead of ourselves .

Face facts, this place is a joke! They have zero interest in paying people who work hard...it's all smoke and mirrors. Not a bad place to duck and cover for a bit, make a decent base and move on.

A senior manager was running his mouth @ AAD about how people who left Galderma for other jobs @ Norvartis , Celegene would regret it . It sounded a lot like someone who didn't have the stones themselves to do anything other than work @ Galderma . They were talking themselves up , knowing it's the only gig they could handle , play it safe .

Pathetic lifer hanging on to the past , their safe 401k , watching as the industry and life in general passes them by . The company needs refreshing for sure , progressive thinkers , not these people that watched as the company fell off a cliff three years ago , telling us reach and frequency were the key . Or make more calls and use the five key impact drivers .

    Really ?

Been with G since 2008 (not in TX). I like it. It's a good gig.

Great place to hide on the RX side, and better to get into the Aesthetic space (for a new rep) as a stepping stone for a well paying gig... not a good spot for an A/C vet that is used to making legit cabbage. Ask an A/C rep what the Ave payout is for Q1 and get a good laugh!

The money for experienced A/C reps is so underwhelming. Insulting to those of us who know netting less than 10k a qter is pathetic in this space. They must have Rx reps that aren't complaining because they think it's good money.

Aesthetics is not what it used to be re $ plain and simple. The jobs are few and far between.
FYI Kythera the start up 70k at plan for the yr was what I was told. Better but not earth shattering.
