What's it like here? Are reps happy? Is the culture good? Also, Is the pay really as good as the recruiter talked about? Do you get a company car? Thanks for your help
I found the salary payband to be average - if what the recruiter told me was correct (I work for another biotech now).
To original post person. They are messing with you. Actelion is not a good place. They have no corporate integrity and drs do not like them. They do have some paid off like UCSD but other than those they buy not good.. They have an oral Prost coming out that might be their only decent chance..
Elaborate on their corporate integrity. Are they unethical? How do they buy docs, almost impossible to do....Pay them to speak or do studies?
The best endorsement of Actelion is that the retention rate among the sales people is the best in the industry. Actelion TMs have been seduced by Bayer and Intermune and lost a total of 2 TMs and two in house sales trainers. Aegerion seduced about 6 before Bayer and Intermune. So there is very little turnover and Actelion reps are very attractive to recruiters and other companies. The same can't be said for our three main competitors. Some who left Actelion have made efforts to come back. Go through your interview and decide from yourself. Cafe pharma is not a very good place to get informed.
Home office people have left but the field sales team defections are very rare. Especially by industry standards.
