Just curious - I've always been a top performer in everything I've done - recently was offered position with Insys in new territory. Not sure if the people posting on here are simply incompetent which is why they aren't making any bonus's - but if you hustle and build relationships of quality with doctors then how much would you make?

If you are willing to violate the law, sell to pill mills, bribe doctors with phony speaker fees, violate hippa regs, violate FDA rules, you can definitely make money, just make sure you bank some for future legals fees.......

Perfect! I am so in! Thx!
What else can any genuine salesperson ask for than to get paid for their kick -ss work!

Depends on the doctors and your ability to convince them to write , zero to 100K bonus is possible. There is not a better comp plan in place if you can get the production. Hard work and effort does not always equal results in this market.

Current rep here. I'm responding because I am sick and tired of meeting all of these newer reps in the company who come in so bright eyed and ambitious, only to be disappointed that they were lied to. So read this and tread with warning.

I make decent money here. It used to be better. These people saying you can make $100k a quarter are full of it. This year it's been harder and harder to get our drug approved. We as salespeople are doing everything we can generating prescriptions and sales but ultimately the insurances are rejecting the drug.

Second... I have been here for quite a bit. We were able to snatch a lot of doctors using competing fentanyl products. All these "new territories" I actually wonder why in hell they are even hiring. Maybe to drive the stock up? Or we keep hearing we are getting new products so maybe to gear up for that. But in terms of our 1 product Subsys? We have way to many people and we have about 80 pct of the company that have nothing to do every day and probably don't even leave their homes.

Ask around. Fentanyl is a very limited market with a very limited amount of customers. The model we use is that we who came here first got first dabs on these doctors. In a new territory you will find a doctor "maybe" here or there. But even as a tenured rep here.... My bonus has steadily been going down and down. Its simple physics. Sales must keep going up and up for you to make money. But approvals for our drug (through no fault of our own or the companys) keeps going down and down due to insurance, the fact that our drug is a narcotic, etc.

I'm sick of hearing about people getting fired for poor performance when its no fault of their own I'm sick of meeting decent people getting hired into our areas who moved for the job, uprooted their families, left another job and came here on false promises.

short answer. you wont make anything. We all currently are waiting and praying for more products to come into fruition. Without them, things will get bad here very soon.

not very realistic. Insys treats its employees like slaves. the hoops one must jump through to get an approval for this overpriced medication are absurd. the execs and managers make more and more money off their stock options and they still favor certain employees which they reward with more money to host dinners and promotions, the rest of the reps a/k/a slaves pound the pavement looking for any sucker who will write the drug. they have over saturated the market with reps so everyone is stepping on toes nowadays. It's so expensive that if they get 9 denials and 1 approval it's still worth it. (ask any rep if it's worth it for them to do that much work for one approval and they will tell you no). that one approval will generate so much revenue that it i worth it for them to keep staffing up at ridiculously low salarys. insys means a whole lot of work for a whole lot of nothing...................it used to be very different

you don't want to work for this company.

Sure you can make excellent money at Insys! If you are related to or sleeping with the doctor who's going to write the drug!

I'm one of the 15 that just won PC. I can assure you I have neither slept with a doctor and have zero relatives in medicine. Clearly You didn't win, thanks for ruining it for those of us that did. :(

    So let's see.

    1 paying patient covers 9 that can't.

    What a mark up!!!!!

3% for selling your a-- off

    Laugh laugh laugh

Yes you can make this and more at other Pharma companies.

They say they pay us for growth, but our expansion territories have no physicians to grow. We have too many Reps my area.

Can everything be lost in translation?

Now you guys are getting it! 280 of our 300 reps are making jack shit and were lied to upon hire how much we could make? And spare me the bullshit "that means you cant sell" crap. Any one of our execs want to come into one of our "expansion" territories and actually grow sales when all the docs have been harvested out by other reps and I'll give you the deed to my house.

Scam of a company. 10% of the company getting rich of stock, bonus, etc.... and the rest of us are suckers for believing these snake oil salesmen and their lies.

If you are employed with a base salary, and health benefits you are doing a hec of a lot better than most of the nation. Spoiled brat! My company was downsized almost a yea ago and I was a consistent top rep. Want to trade places. I bet I'd do more with the opportunity than you!

"10 percent of company getting rich". Where do I sign up? That's better than most sales jobs! 10 percent is a lot. How in the world is that a scam?

Look, I am a new rep and my docs are very interested in SUBSYS. In fact, they are prescribing the medication immediately. I am not sure what people are talking about when they say, "if you are willing to be unethical, etc...you can be successful." I am very ethical. I am very clear about the indication for cancer breakthrough pain (as this is all we are allowed to discuss by INSYS corporate. they are very strict about this) and the physicians prescribe in accordance with such. I can't help but think that reps outside of INSYS are simply jealous that SUBSYS is a superior medication and is taking market share by storm...because it works. INSYS is an excellent, reputable and honest company.

If you are a medium performer or a low end performer, INSYS is not for you. If you are a top notch rep, INSYS is for you. INSYS reps are some of the highest performers in the pharma industry. Our stock is the darling of wall street because our product works; it is an exceptional product. Most importantly, SUBSYS is a medication that patients appreciate due to its immediate and satisfying results.

Compliance training video. Get Ready to Laugh

It goes against everything we heard at the NSM.

If we are to camp out in an office and we are not allowed to fill out an opt-in, then what in the world are the rest of the SSPs doing all day. No need to camp in office because now we don't fill out any opt-ins (wink wink)

Take doc kids to their ballgame- non compliant
Take doc on road trip - non compliant
Help office staff with paperwork - non compliant
    >90% of drug used in non cancer patients - non compliant (it is happening) wink wink
Having doc speak for Subsys just to write Subsys - very non compliant

We are to build a PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIP, not a personal relationship.

Speakers are to be the thought leaders in the community.

Can someone tell me where in the package insert / labeling that mentions pain specialists are able to be called on.

If indication, says adult cancer patients then logic says oncologists. Why did sales ops download all these FP/GPs and Pain guys to my call deck. By promoting to pain specialists you are truly asking them to use a product outside its label. This is why the company is at risk. We call on them because the physician is TIRF REMS enrolled. I believe I saw a Dentist and Surgeon and a psychiatrist TIRF REMS enrolled.

GO GET THEM GUYS. Not a Target (use common sense) or destroy the company.
