Just curious...which side is overall better to be working for? Pay? QOL?

Pretty hard to say numb nuts, since we can't work both jobs at once.
Get a life and stop trying to stir the shit.

DMAB is a great protein- it will be successful. Not as quick as anyone would like, but we will get there.

The above post wasn't being honest about everything. Obviously, you can’t work both jobs but trust me, I'm in the BHBU and I'm so envious of the oncology business unit. They are more respected and don't have all the micromanagement that the BHBU has. Come on, look at the data, Prolia outperformed Zometa, look at the Osteo trails, Prolia don't necessarily outperform Reclast and the side effects for Osteo are not clean at all. With Oncology, you are calling on specialist, with Prolia, you are calling on Primary Care doctors, now you tell me. The BHBU has to communicate with the Oncology reps and it's clear who has the better job. If you can, go to the Oncology side and RUN away from the Bone Health side!

yes, DMAB is a good protein, it will eventually perform and meet Amgen's expectations but who has tiem to stay and deal with the pressure. I don't think they can old on to everyone until the numbers are made!

I thought I was being honest ! No offense, are you being honest.. read below

1)I am pretty sure that Prolia didn't have a study that included Zometa
2)I have been in three business units including the OBU and guess what they have their share of micro managers too.
    3) A Prolia and Reclast head to head trial never took place so I don't think you can draw that conclusion, and if you were 2 years versus 5+ years of data, 3 key fracture site, etc.
    4) Side effect for osteo not as clean, clean as what - look at the length of the dmab onc trials and then look at the dmab pmo length. Longer a patient is on it the better chance they have of reporting a side effect, why do you think it mirrored placebo. Also, its the same protein so you think 3x dose 3x frequency in cancer patients would really be cleaner
    4) Maybe this is why you are not making your numbers, I call on Endo's, OB/GYN, Neph, Ortho, Geriatrics as well on Rheum's still - we get paid by zip not by target, don't limit yourself to pcp/IM only.
    5) Attitude is everything, you really think you can sell or persuade your customers to even listen to you while your inner beliefs about the company and the drug as you stated.
I really doubt that this person has a chance to go for both jobs, Amgen doesn't really work that way- staffing would pick it up and ask him/her which job they want to apply for.

If you are being honest, then be honest with yourself, evaluate your skill sets and attitude maybe heading back for a little refresher training might do you good.

PS my numbers sucked for the first 6 months of launch, I self-reflected and turned myself around. Have 10 buy and bill accounts and a few INS. Feeling good about myself and the company. Hopefully you can say the same in 2-3 months.

O.P. here...ok thanks guys...I didn't mean to start a war or "stir things up"...I kinda thought the oncology side was a bit better in that it's a "buy and bill" type of sale, thus a bit more prestigious in my eyes. I was just curious if that side got paid more as well.

Watch dmab, gmab, and 386. Otherwise, oncology is on the way out.

I thought it was a cycling company with performance drugs? Good to know, thanks for the history lesson. It is amazing how some company can change what they started off as and transition into something different, HUGO BOSS, BAYER to name a few
