Looking into an opportunity with this company. Decent opportunity? Vivelle-Dot a market leader? Received well by OB-Gyns? Training decent?

Not looking for a miracle opportunity, just trying to get a general sense about the current positives and negatives of the organization.

    Thanks.

The product is the market leader for the estrogen patch and has many loyal followers. It is nice to have a position where you are not in a pod and what you do is solely your work. Calling on specialty ob/gyns is also a big perk for the industry and highly coveted.

The company culture is not so great as the national sales director is pretty weak but you dont need to worry about this IF you have a good manager. If you need a job and like women`s healthcare, you will proabaly be ok. Still a bit of micromanaging and looking at call reports instead of focusing on the bottom line sales.

    Good luck.

Seriously? Proof your work - possibly don't know 'proabaly' is not a word in the english language. Along with 'imjediately' - wtf is that all about?

Anyway truth is vivelle dot as at the end of life cycle. Nothing in the pipeline - for god sakes people it is a joint venture you will be out of a job when the generic comes out in less than two years! Think: Novartis will not share its drug development and Noven, well, whatever. Oh, and Carol Merill is dreadful - and a dipsh!t. Don't underestimate the impact that has on your life.

Training is 2 weeks in NYC. The company is headquartered in the Empire State Building. You usually stay on Madison Ave and walk there each day (5 min). Training is no problem and is helpful, plus you have NYC every night with an expense budge.

How is Ricky Echols to work for? Would really like to know if this is great opportunity. Also, are you in NYC for 2 weeks straight or can you go home for weekend?

You cannot go home between the 2 weeks at training unless you pay for it. You would have to leave Saturday and come back Sunday so it is not worth it.
Ricky is a nice guy if you you do your job and if you know what you are doing.

Looking for somewhere around 90k, will they pay it? I heard the base is more like 65k.

Thanks for the feedback. Pretty low base, what about bonus? I have an interview in the next couple of weeks along with another company. I'm trying to make the best decision on which one to go with.

Thanks for the feedback. What is the car allowance and how are the benefits?

Benefits are not as good as a bigger pharma company, but ok. Several people who work here use their spouses insurance, so it has it's limits. Car allowance is about $600 and they pay your gas. The car has to be newer than 5 years of age and you are required to replace it when it gets to 5 or your allowance drops by more than half. If you have a large territory and drive a lot you will lose value on the car quickly, so don't buy a really expensive car.
