    Does anybody know anything about this new VP from Stryker? What does he know about Advanced Energy or EndoSurgical, he's an Ortho guy?
    He was an AD at Stryker, but a VP here!?

    Good question. Anybody have any Stryker contacts? Did Stryker let him go or did Hartman steal him away? Doesn't make sense someone would come to ConMed from Stryker unless they had to.

    Going from an AD to a VP running two divisions is plenty of incentive to leave Stryker. The big question is can he create the strategies needed to turn these declining businesses around versus his experience level where he has always been in ortho implementing strategies given to him. To get a promotion of this level versus his experience he must have promised to line some gals up for the CEO at the upcoming sales meeting.

    I'm hoping this is a positive thing. A new way of doing things here definitely will not hurt.

    I worked for Bill at EndoGastric Solutions. The work experience he entered on LinkedIn is incomplete. He was an RM for about 15 months. Because of declining sales, the region was dissolved and they “promoted” him to Director of Sales, working under the VP. Nobody is sure what he accomplished as Director, but after 6 months he was demoted, removed from the sales structure and reassigned as a reimbursement representative.

    Anyone you contact at EndoGastric Solutions will verify this.

    Hope this helps answer questions about his experience and what he knows.

    You cant expect to get A players at CONMED. Even if all the above is true it sounds like an improvement. Are CD & SM out?

    That about sums it up. Again CH boy. Anyone's guess on why this Smuck would be put in a position like this. Only CH knows.

    Word in the field is Peters was CH's 2nd choice. His first choice bailled at the last minute. Originally it was AE and ET being combined because of Beamers.
    CH had to react quick and got stuck with Peters.

    CH has his marching orders: reorganize the sales force for efficiencies, launch a few decent products to replace old dogs, and improve the P&L. That a first year MBA grad could have made this analysis 10 years ago is ignored. JD bears most of the blame and he'll be thrown under the bus daily, deservedly so. The stock price is still high, so put a little lip stick on this pig and keep the ship afloat another year. The M&A environment will be more settled then and CH and the board can unload this POS and ride into the sunset.

    Yeah but where are the few decent new products? There nothing new even close to being released. This situation is so sad. The company really needs to be sold.

    Products just have to be good enough. Someone already said it, but their best strategy is to get out of the product development business. Just find good OEMs and buy finished devices. CH would improve the P&L in a hurry.

    Just coming out of NSM and this dude Peters is a real tool. Full of himself and has the personality of a Dead Fish. Way over his head. Going to copy Stryker on everything and see what happens. That's his, oh sorry (CH) strategy. No experience in this market, no creative ability, just a puppet on a string for new CEO. Already have 80% of sales force looking for new jobs, but what else is new???????

    You hit the nail on the head! Don't be fooled by this clown; failed at Intuitive, followed his papi to endogastric and failed then followed his papi to Mako where his region struggled to the point his papi is still there and he is not bc even his papi couldn't protect him from non performance

    This guy is nothing but hot air. Did CONMED verify his work history and confirm his past performance? His failures are well known and documented.

    If his resume reflected reality, he would never work in sales management again.

    Should terminate this guy for fraud before he screws up the sales force.
