Biomet Las Vega

Looking into the Biomet distributor in Las.Vegas. How are they to work for? do they do well in that Market? Well recieved?

 

It's a direct territory so there isn't a distributor. Alan Wheeler is the GM and he seems well liked by the reps and corporate. If you really want to know ask one of the local reps.

 

Not sure if you are inquiring about joint, or other orthopedic sales. The trauma and spine sales manager is a good manager and a solid salesman. His name is Kurt Pemberton.

 

I've heard that the trauma and spine distributor ISN'T well liked. There are various reasons, just look into him locally and you will see.

On the Joint side. Alan Wheeler is a nice guy and hard worker. He is NOT a good leader, motivator or sales focused manager. The prediction in Vegas is that someone with better business and sales skills will come in to build and cultivate Vegas, sooner than later.

 

Allan Wheeler is a horrible man. Uneducated, poor OR ettiquette.

 

Isn't Wheeler the guy who comes to the Distributor meetings with the 1980's butt part haircut?

 

I've heard recently that Butt Part Wheeler is scared to death that this merger will be the end of his BS run in Vegas. Especially now that Derminio can't save his tail anymore or buy his way out of sexual harassment claims.

Fitting end for a terrible person.

 

That's a shame about Derminio. Which guys was he harassing?

Hopefully one day the DePuy Recon reps will stop selling Biomet Trauma

 

It's not a shame what happened to Derminio. He deserves a worse treatment than just being put out to pasture.

That's your worst complaint? The fact that some reps are possibly selling inferior trauma product?
Maybe one day Biomet will get a real recon sales team in Las Vegas and not some fake, misfit, group of rejects.

 

A "fake, misfit, group of rejects" describes the majority of Biomet these days. Why should Vegas be any different?

 

I still want to know which of the guys Derminio was harassing, allegedly?

I don't believe that there was intimations of him harassing any of the "guys". Has he ever had to deal with a situation or two in that area where BMT had to pay for a potential harassment problem to go away?

 

When you are rolling around rocking the Butt part sheik look even saying Hi to a woman will get you in trouble

 

Or just deciding to throw your hand down a blouse and taking a feel when leaving a company dinner will get you there as well. Same butt part, same story.

Will the Butt Part survive? Because I cannot see Big Z paying off women to make that problem go away.

 

An employee breaks the law. What happens at most companies ? HR swiftly acts in accordance to state law. What happens at Biomet? They hire what they say are Independant Investigators. Who are these mysterious people? Attorneys who only do what they are paid to do. Support everything HR and management has stated. The target is discredited and is not given the final REPORT. Attorney - client. Lies and more lies no matter what evidence is presented. The dirty employees have free legal help. Then they hire a well-known and very expensive attorney based in the Northeast who calls all the shots moving forward. If there isn't enough in your file they back date and add events that never took place. An attorney , HR personnel and management will do what they have to do. You expect this for an executive but a rep?? This Kangaroo Court has taken place several times at Biomet. If the rep moves in the right circles and possibly has dirt on someone then yes. So go ahead and party hard. No worries. Even if you have no ethics and could care less about other employees the loss of time and sales in this drama hurts everyone.

 

So who did it and what exactly happened?

 

Ethics at Biomet? Laughable.
