It's nice to see the company employing special people too, maybe there is some humanity left.

About that 100% match up to the 8% contribution...that sounds great, but have you noticed there hasn't been a word about profit-sharing under Actavis? The Forest profit share was very generous, and I think more than offset the 50% match up to the 6% contribution. In the end, I rather strongly suspect there will be less employer $ going into our 401K under ACT than under FRX.

Of course, given the tone of the rest of the OP's post, he/she may have been being facetious (I hope so, in fact).

You just left 1099 work, where the strong survive and the great thrive. Recently Forest hired you. You have drank the special sauce and now want to believe in a stable future. My first five or so with FRX I did too.

Now Howard is long gone. Ichan is pulling the strings and Brent is setting the world on fire - buying low and selling high.

You are right. Pfizer CEO was not interested in Actavis before the Forest acquisition because it was mostly a generic giant. Now, most reports say this has changed with the branded markets FRX brought to the table. First choice is still AZ for Pfizer, but an unlikley long shot after the first bid failure by Pfizer. If AZ falls through, Pfizer wants almost needs the inversion Ireland would provide. I don't know. No one here does. But watch for an offer from Pfizer if AZ falls through.

If an offer is made you think Brent won't sell? You think it is his vision and desire to be a long time corporate CEO? Would you? You really think he is passionate about bringing life changing pharmaceuticals to market? You think Ichan put him on the Forest board years ago for his leadership abilities? You think this whole Actavis thing just came out of a random dinner conversation between him and Paul B, then the CEO of legacy Actaivs?

    Sure, maybe.

But my thought is that a Pfizer acquisition, could be the end game Carl, Paul and boy wonder Brent have desired all this time.

Just like anyone here though. We don't know.

You could be right. But just remember, a CEO doesn't actually sell a company, the entire board needs to approve and it would need to be a very good price. And if it was is that such a bad thing? Many stock holders including current employees could make a boat load of money.

    Thanks for the laugh!
Forest wanted young &/ or dumb "yes sir how high" hires & here they are.
Fine-be happy that at this moment you've got a good thing going. However-don't be a fool and think it'll always be like this. It definitely won't so a plan B is something to consider.
Also-the bigger fool who wrote about the whole board having to approve? Hahahaha! You have no idea how this all works!

This company & it's new product distribution to reps makes even worse sense than before.

Now that managers don't approve expense reports or count samples they are worse than ever in sending out emails & spreadsheets to justify why the company needs them ( which they don't really need this many managers still.

What a nightmare this is turning in to

As a salesperson you should know how much it annoys &/or makes people uncomfortable when you say you're blessed.
The best sales reps don't put themselves first.
Go read a Zig Ziglar book blessed one.
There’s an implication that I deserve something special. If I’m blessed with good health, what’s the message for those who aren’t? If I’m blessed by comfortable, stable finances, what do I say to millions of believers who work long hours but survive on a few dollars per day?

Blessing isn’t about my perspective. If I think it’s good, does that make it God’s blessing? By extension, any immediate situation I don’t like becomes—God’s curse? I don’t think so.

It’s about responsibility, not blessing. The gift of favorable circumstances isn’t a pat on my head, it’s a call to serve. The purpose of a gift is to share it.

    An Alternative?

1: where do you get this idea that if you don't call on a PCP, you bring more value to the company? You do realize that the highest rated PCPs are of much more value to the company than any specialist bc they can write many of our drugs.
2: if you are on the CPU team, 25% of your new target panel is now PCPs-- Boom. So did you suddenly become less talented or less valuable to the company? Hell no, you are actually increasing your value. Don't confuse a persons' desire to (or lack of) call on a PCP as their value to the company.

I feel blessed that God gave me the skills to be in the top 5% of the company. Only winners are left here. My manager said the company got rid of the bottom 18%. It's easier for me to get a job now because recruiters know Forest/Actavis only kept the best of the best. Blessings to all who deserve to be blessed for their hard work. It's also going to be easier for me to compete with those let go who we're all in the bottom 10%!
    Bless us all at Forest!
