Tip o the day for reps: get cozy with insiders at hq. You will get info far in advance of your ctl, dco and district peeps. Those outed in prior cuts got too cozy in the same job working the same ole area and were essentially unknown to those at hq. If someone were to yell out your name at WP or UG would people know who you are? If your answer is no then you are at risk, step it up and do something about it!
Interesting. Problem is, 99.9% of those in the field orbit in their niche-o-sphere. Why would HQ peeps know them? They spend their time knocking on doors and feeding the office chow hounds. Reps are mere mortals, not movers or shakers. Unless, of course, they know the ins and outs of working the system........and surviving a swim in the big boy shark pool.
Yep, but so many of us who wanted internal rotations or special little projects never were granted an opportunity. Those privileged who have had that chance do get recognized at shout out time. For the others, we're seen as a simply a number in the herd, nothing more.
Because they cut those of us with 15 years in or somewhere near that number to save on future pension payouts. If they brought us back they would have to continue with our time in service and pension pay. Not going to happen. Thanks, SS and BG you really follow orders to a T no matter who gets hurt right?
