Thanks for leading Novartis into the ground. You were hired to find a merger or acquisition
And all you accomplished is thousands of layoffs, no leadership, no new products or mergers and then YOU jump ship...and you are committed to primary care? Hey thanks for the transparency and our cultural pillars...haven't you heard that the captain should be the last to abandon ship...oh right you want us to be motivated to sell in these uncertain times...well the fact you left and sounds as if someone else will be doing double duty because they aren't hiring anyone to replace your horrible leadership tells me you are and Novartis is not committed to primary care. Thanks for nothing...I believe you have had a lot to do with the last few years of failures ! You do not deserve the new job handed to you.

Today in an interview himinnez stated he is looking for companies in pharma in the 1 to 5 billion dollar range. What company can you buy for 5 billion that would have a gen meds product? Forest went for $25 billion, alcon was 40 billion. Gen meds is not in the scale nvs is looking for. It's the end of the line for everyone!

He was brought in to clean house. He assessed the mess and got the job done. Basel loves the guy because he isn't scared to do the dirty work.

Here is what most of us aren't realizing - Basel approves of the dismantling of PC as this has been in the works for some time. Basel's plan was for this to happen. We have to stop thinking, "Nikos didn't get the job done." No, he did get the job done in dismantling PC, which is really bad news for all of us in PC.

His move to Basel was all planned a long time ago. He did what he was told. This should make us nervous - the fact that PC dismantling was a plan and not a mistake.

Unfortunately there is nothing to be excited about with his replacement. Ask our division and people he leads now. Back to the old school brow beating days. Flash backs of CK. Who makes these decisions? They continue to get them wrong. Like someone said, does it really matter now?

Greg is being brought in to ride this FF into the sunset, and close it down. Totally agree with previous poster who commented that this is Basel's plan. Nickos implemented the plan. Notice that Greg is not "interim" in this role until someone else is brought in to run PC. Wearing two hats is temporary. Kind of sad to see for those desperately wanting some signs of hope, but if it walks like a duck, and sounds like a duck - it's a duck.

Primary Care is officially DEAD. Greg will take the Established Medicines and leverage what he can. Question now is what happens to Dr. Evil and Plaid Skirt Man?
