Judging by the termination rate of salaried vs hourly, USW will be the ones to turn the lights out at wp.

 

A dark cloud will be over the site for the foreseeable future. Things will be better when current work force is completely replaced. Hourly and salaried!!

 

Believe it or not the company and the union have this agreement called a "Contract". It's a book of things that can be done and things that can not be done. Giving WP Union work to another company is on the list of things you can not do.

Not many union people jumping ship to company jobs. They know if their hourly position is eliminated, they just get stashed somewhere else at WP. Salaried people are the ones going the way of the dodo bird. They are being outsourced at a rapid rate. Its funny that most Merck employees don't have a clue how many people at WP are actually contractors and not employees.

 

exactly...we are ALL being outsourced and everyone puts their head in the sand and pretend it is not happening

 

The only one turning off the lights will be Ken and his cronies. Everything and everybody save a few teacher's pets will get hacked.

BTW, all packaging is set to go to NC. Already in the works.
