I've worked with them since about February, they've got a good setup with a number of different products. There arent many places that give you pre-set appointments to work as an outside sales rep. The interview process is standard, as long as you have drive and know how to work with Seniors you should be good.

    Good luck to you!

Wow, its amazing that ONE person can have so much NEGATIVITY to say about a company, but choose to NOT TAKE ACCOUNTABILITY for there own inadequacies. I totally agree that there isn't a perfect working environment with ANY company, most people are very capable and probably over qualified for the jobs there working now, but seeing the majority of working class folks live pay check to paycheck it sounds like the above person had some real PERSONAL issues.

Both my parents have back braces and knee braces from this company and my mother will swear by the attention to detail, Sales Rep. who really took the time to explain the products to her and made her feel validated even at her age. She was so impressed with the Sales rep. and the company she asked them to come back and get my dad fitted for braces.

So please make sure EVERYONE reads between the lines when you have people who so cowardly can create such a bad vibe for a company and not even "have the guts" to put there name on there post.

So warning to all not every post is believable most the time its a former employee that just couldn't CUT IT and is finding an easy escape goat.

    In a nutshell:
KMR Medical is not a medical company. It is run by a couple buddies who know how to navigate call centers in Cebu Phillipines -they have no experience in running a professional medical company. Google Jody Rookstool. This company will not be around long. I promise you that much. These buddies got a hold of a company that has a Medicare license and found TWO products that have high margins - A back brace and a knee brace. This company has no medical training and what they do is have their call center blast our senior population with phone calls telling them "congratulations" you qualify for the pendent." The Pendent is the button one pushes when "they've fallen and can't get up." It is the bait they to set up an appointment and have representative come to their home. Next the rep. who really is not a medically trained specialist, walks in a show them the Emergency Response device and after asking a couple question says something like "do you experience back and knee pain." Of course most people in the age range of 65 - 95 have some issues. They then show them this back brace/knee brace and let them know they can get it free paid for by Medicare. They then fill out some paperwork and have the patient write a letter saying they would like to get a brace. Next the rep. sends it in to KMR's billing department and hope the patients primary doctor will approve the brace. It is a total scam and these four buddies are just trying to make some easy money. They are unorganized and you won't get paid for two months at least and hoperfully they will still be in business when you are due your first check. Karma will find it's way into this outfit and I am 100% positive this company will go bye bye.

I really just wanted to point out that this is probably another one of the KMR gang posting bullshit.

Here is the reality. This company has two product. They are:
1)an off the shelf back brace
2)on off the shelf knee brace

*3) is the pendent and unit that plugs into the
persons phone. It's a button they push that
calls an emergency response center. There are
a buch of different companies that use this company
to monitor. KMR uses the name US Life Care. They
don't make money on this and the reps. don't get paid
on them for setting them up. This is what gets the reps
in the door to try and slam them with knee and back
braces paid by Medicare. It's a joke

KMR Medical is NOT a medical company.

Okay, I have been reading these things about KMR Medical. I noticed from 12/15/2012 to 01/03/2013 Many of the post about KMR have been removed. Cafepharma needs to repost them simply because they were the truth. I briefly worked for this company. I can say my ethics were compromised and this is not the way I want to make a living. If there is a moderator at this Cafepharms site you have done a disservice to your viewers who gain valuable info. from the site and support it. There are many companies out there that that smell Medicare money and have found ways to beat the system. KMR as the above poster states "is not a medical company" is an accurate assessment. They are vultures feeding on a broken Medicare system and a prime example of why it is broke. I am not sure which is worst - this greedy group that runs KMR or Medicare for being so broke and stupid to let it happen. It is baffling and sad.

Why are nearly 1/2 the posts removed? When I last checked it, there was a lot more dialogue on this company. I thought maybe a mad previous employee, or the well known internet troll was making the above accusations. A previous colleague in Eastern WA works with this company, and he is trying to make things work, but has unfortunately solidified the above concerns. He won't be with them much longer. He says drive times are ridiculous, qualified appointments are rare, and he has to blind side the elderly to make a commission. I live in Utah, and their comp structure USE to be tempting, but it seems to have changed. I am glad I didn't take the bait a long time ago!!

Utah DME - who is this "well known internet troll" you mention? I have posted here a couple time was curious if you are calling this person a troll for stating facts. I was curious if it was me. Since this person is well known, please state the name or even the initials. Your post is a bit odd with you stating a while back you were looking into or worked for KMR when the comp plan was better but and now it is not. How would you know if you haven't been there in long time and how in the heck do you know someone in the state of Washington that works there? I'm glad your friend could see the light but geez your post is strange. When did you work for KMR?

I have never worked for KMR, but I learned of their openings through job postings. It sounded to be a good comp structure. In March of last year, I had even referred others to look into them, which is why this discussion topic peaked my interest. A basic definition of a "well known internet troll" is a general person who purposely makes rude comments on discussions boards, other than factual comments. I do not suspect anyone here is trolling, but I first had assumed so. When I first read some of the older posts, I assumed it could be from someone who was upset, so I did not make much of it. Then, on Facebook a while back I read a post from a previous colleague who had mentioned they started a new position with KMR. I turned to him for some light on the topics, since I keep seeing postings for jobs from them coming to my e-mail from Monster but I think they also go by a different name other than KMR. I think one is a division of the other. I questioned him to see if they are legit. He didn't speak so strongly upset about them, but he was surely not happy, and said it was better to go elsewhere. Luckily I am happy where I am at. I am not currently working with DME, but sometimes it is tempting to go back.

Any 5th grader will tell you to always consult with your physician before putting something in or on your body that could potentially cause harm. Ordering bilateral knee braces and of course the overpriced off the shelf back brace for our Medicarers is simply wrong. They often sell all three, yes the trifecta, for one person. These people should try out for the next Transformer movie. Good for you for make a clear and sane decision!!

You're not going to believe this. They sold my mom on the knee and back braces after the pendant pitch a while ago. While at my moms last week, she showed the braces to me. The back brace is relatively generic as well as the knee braces. Something that I could have picked up at the sporting goods store for $50+/- each.

I contacted Medicare to see what they were charged for the braces. Get this, about $950 for the back brace and about $450 for each the knee brace. Roughly $2,000 worth of braces. WOW!!!! Granted, my mom didn't pay for them but it comes down to ALL of us paying for these braces through our taxes. These are generic braces, something that you can find in a store, that KMR is charging about 10-20 times what they are worth.

    Shame on you KMR!

Sharon in AZ, does Medicare know the price of the brace that KMR pays for? I bet it is about $40-$50. This is ridiculous! I think it is time a call is made to the Medicare hotline.

From the Better Business Bureau in Utah regarding KMR Medical:

Several consumers have contacted the BBB regarding this company and their sales tactics. The business is signing up consumers to use their medical pendants. After this is complete the sales person is also suggested back braces, even though this has not been approved by the consumer's doctor.

Consumers should not give out their Social Security number or health insurance card to unknown companies.

The BBB contacted the business and asked for sales scripts and if they suggested back braces for all consumers, there was no response. The BBB urges that consumers talk to their doctors and if elderly their children prior to purchasing any item of value.

I just watched their recruitment video. I have to admit that I was pretty excited about the opportunity. Pre-set Appointments, the senior market. Was a little skeptical about the price of the braces. As I always do I did a search and wound up here. Glad I Did.

Does anyone whose worked as a sales rep know any of the following.

What is the % success rate for sales made of the back and knee brace per appointment?

Its true that your told to use aggressive sales tactics on the elderly you visit so KMR can "bill" medicare. Im assuming you work mainly for commission on sales made, what is it?

Do you sell supplements and medicines as well at each appt?
