What a noble and inspiring goal set by our leadership. JR, if you're interested, start by killing the GC 3.0 bullshit! Nobody cares about this stupid glee club. Instead, put this wasted effort and $$ into a real incentive comp plan...that might actually deliver far more than $1 buck!

A few places might be better, but most are far worse. On average I have great colleagues, solid products, and enjoy the job. Seriously, you obviously haven't worked at a big 5 if one thinks this is a terrible place.....

Not necessarily. The positive comments are from Positive People who know how to focus on their role in the organization and have a balanced life. You sound miserable because you do not have good balance. Suggestion: try Yoga, running, playing with a puppy, playing with your children, have sex with your spouse, etc.
Take a look at your job description time to time and just focus on it during the working hours. Do not fret about others. You cannot control them. Just control yourself and you will be happier and a better employee.
