No, there already were 2,000 layoffs late Feb to March and the company hasn't reported it yet.

The 5000 number is an estimate on total layoffs after the merger that is coming up. Damn. Wake up.

PDI...you must be stupid if you don't know that inventiv is already entrenched in GSK. Started with 140 reps and now getting ready to hit over 400. Get ready, GSK is moving towards contract sales organization. Over 400 postings are up at inventiv for GSK positions. They are cheaper and more effective.

stupid here : I only mentioned PDI because they are the best and we have used them many times..............I did this because you evidently had never heard of " rent-a-reps " before , and that site tells what they do.

 

You are a moron...PDI is falling apart at the wheels and has been for years. Your about to be replaced by Inventiv. They will be in all aspects of our business units by the end of 2015. But since you probably get 100 on all your test, you think you are ok. SELL something moron, sell like your life depends on it..or at least your paycheck, because it does. Hey dopey jack ass...Novartis sell off one of a series of sell offs. Point is respiratory and vaccines only thing left...Pfizer or Actavis would probably love to own either or both together.

 

I do think this post might have a valid point. Look on the Inventiv site, there are many positions that looks like they are hiring for GSK contract - wanting diabetes/respiratory experience, even the mepo positions looks to be labeled as "clinical specialist" - specifically asking for pulmonary and rare disease backgrounds. It's all a guess at this point, but if you really think about it, we have enough GSK sales force to sell the new and old respiratory line. Injecting 400 Inventive reps just looks too suspiciously obvious that GSK sales team could very well be in jeopardy of being replaced with the rental reps. I just hope it doesn't happen. Could this company be more transparent? And to think we were starting to believe in the new leadership the verdict is still out.
