Would actors make better sales reps?

I know some actors who can read a phone book and bring tears to your eyes. I have a hard time doing my spiel without sounding as bored as I truly am with it. Actors might be better, or possibly trained parrots who could save money by flying to appointments. Thoughts?

Even back years ago, when women became popular as reps......we said same thing because many new hires were studying and graduated in TV Journalism......TV weather people, newspeople.....who loved being on the camera and winging it !!!
