  3. Work-till-you-drop is an American invention, that has been taken even further by Asian countries like China especially. In Europe this is still not a case in most countries, like Scandinavia for instance. There you do have a good work/life balance.
The main culprit is AMERICANIZATION of, first America naturally then the rest of the world. Some parts like some Euro countries and many Asian ones have taken up Americanization with utmost enthusiasm. Thus they have the imbalance as bad if not worse than America. Another evil is the Globalization and it's bastard daughter Free trade. All these evil things invented, promoted and implemented by America resulted in these nasty consequences for the, not to 99% as some would say, but to 80%-90% that represent those who really work for living. In America, for instance your 10% of population (that includes the evil 1%) controls 80% of your wealth. The rest is "split" by the suffering 80%, that is in fact fighting for their 20% share by working as much as possible, thus no balance between work/life.
Since it started with Americanization of America and the world, it has to start with De-Americanization of America first then, the De-Americanization of the World, for us to liberate ourselves from the evil of American way of life, work and an early death as result of overwork.
Yes folks, the American dream has turned into American nightmare, not only for you but for anyone who willingly or at the point of American gun (the preferred export of American democracy by your govt.) accepted the Americanization of their country.
Save yourselves and the world by starting the DE-AMERICANIZATION OF AMERICA.

Yeah... Go back to farming and live a subsistence life. That will be a real break from the 40 hour a week, Americanization lifestyle. What a complete fraud you are... pathetic!

Since we all know the majority of us will be laid off in the near future why aren't more reps preparing for the change of unemployment? Go back to school, start a small business. It seems very few are taking any proactive steps. I have prepared for 10 years for the final days of a rep.
