If you are not developing an escape strategy, then you are
    Not too bright.

    It's over for Olympus...

I left the company two years ago. Since then my quality of life has improved. I sleep better at night.
Get out while you can as it will never get better.

This is a great entry level job for some kid just out of college. Gain some experience in the working world and then get a better later. The ACMI/ Gyrus days are over people. Time to move on.

Both Richard Reynolds and Nils Ericsson should
Have been terminated a long long time ago.
Both are a waste of space and $.

There is a reason why Olympus is in the position
It's in right now. You don't have to think long
And hard on that one boys and girls.

I am saying prayers for all of you U&G TM's and your
Families. Your job at Olympus is a feudal enterprise.
For your own sanity, please get out, while you still can.
I got out over a year ago, and I can promise you
Life is much better after Olympus. Working there
Is like being raised in an alcoholic family.
It really sucks the life and soul out of you...

Maybe we should fwd all of these blogs to Japan.
It seems they are clueless about who is running the MSG.

Just sent my resignation letter to my manager and avp.
I am so glad that I am done with this awful organization.
I heard through the grapevine that 12 Urology reps resigned in the
Past two weeks. By the end of next year there won't be any tenure at
    This organization whatsoever.
What a dump. What a sad state of affairs.

Total lie, there has not been 12 resignations in 2 weeks? Also, what territory did you just resign from? This may add a shred of credibility to your BS.

Richard, Nils, Sandra, and Barrett can kiss our asses.
This company is a shithole! two possible outcomes....
Olympus is looking to make itself more attractive on its balance sheet, and wants to
Sell to Sony or some other Japanese conglomerate, or they go out of business inside 5 years...
All the real talent is leaving. Olympus does not care about you, and will pay less and
Less every year moving forward! The increased CRM and micromanagement will
Translate into less sales. Watch and learn jack holes!

Fcking azzholes!!! Morale is insanely low.
    Everyone is leaving!!!
    Energy, Surgical Video, Urology.....

Can't wait for my final interview on Monday.

8 year veteran who is thoroughly disgusted
    With this company.

We realize there are finance, management, and newbie Kool Aid drinkers on this board.
All of the posts concerning the terrible environment at Olympus are true.
Everyone is aware how dysfunctional and terrible it is to work for Olympus.
This company has been lost at sea for a long time.
They will not wake up until it is too late.
My best advice is to find a better opportunity and resign. This company does not care
About its sales reps. Plain and simple!!!!

Too Many VPs, AVPs and RVPs are out of touch with the sales force. Too busy focusing on the next report and micromanaging. We need someone in leadership to get this company back on track. Hard to make a sell or demo products when the company is being ran so lean that everything is on back order. Embarrassing.

Japan needs to step in to save MSG.
Terminate RR, Nils, Sandra, Barrett, and a ton of dead weight AVP's
That really do nothing except approve or reject quotes and sit on
Conference calls all day. I can't believe that nothing has been
Done to cleanup this disaster of a company.

Get back to the basics. 8/10 % commissions with non greedy
Bonus plan at the end of each qtr.

Most importantly management gets off their asses, and get
On dual or sole source agreements for all disposables.

Multi source does nothing when Hospitals have been using Boston for 10 years.
Management is clearly in what we call Japanese Denial.

I left when things started to turn, and this company is so unrecognizable now. I'm surprised so many of the tenured reps have held on, like they are afraid to leave. The tenured reps probably don't have the fire in their belly to actually go out and learn to sell with a new company, and the newer reps probably think things will get better, but it never does. I don't understand the desire to stay in this hole.
