This might sound nuts, but why not just go get a more economical car?

The allowance isn't great and there is not a lot of extra, but it's fair. If you do it right your daily work transportation is paid for and then some.

    You want more?

We drive twice as much as normal for other drivers. Yes, we should get more. The amount doesn't cover a payment, insurance, and wear and tear on any economical, reliable car.

Because it's that easy. Did you ever think people might actually want to stay if some things changed?

I'm sure the majority of the sales force IS looking for another job.

It's not unreasonable to want to drive a reliable, safe car for work purposes. My car isn't brand new and does get good gas mileage. The amount I'm compensated doesn't cover my total cost of the car and related expenses. So, I'm losing money, as I'm sure everyone else is, every month driving.

These sales rep think they are KCI. They keep forgetting, they are just soldiers and can get fired or let go anytime. Your loyalty means nothing to KCI. Don't burn your bridges. We all work in the same network.
