Great to see the Supreme Court rule in favor of GSK! The rep that filed suit got plenty of "extra's" from GSK while he was an employee. It's great to see he's getting nothing now.

Very scary that is went b4 the SC. Why would anyone want say they work past 5pm. Did they say they got home at 2:30pm and then took a nap. Woke up at 5pm and then had to do paper work, emails, you know, work stuff. There are people who work 15 hours a day and have mortgages, tuition, etc. Why don't they sue their employee's for working more than 8 hours a day? So spoiled.

I am sure that a certain person who posts on this board many times a day has been whining and crying ever since this ruling came out.

Just another example of why we need to re- elect the President. We need to eventually replace the right- wing 5, for several reasons.

Agree. He's gone quiet and let's hope for good. Yet again, he is wrong with his predictions.

I agree, since we all need to sit on you rear end and collect money for nothing.......the only problem is that someone has to work to create all this money that will then be handed to us. Who will do that?

Are you serious? I'd ask you if you read the opinion, but I'd be assuming that you were able to find it let alone understand it. I'm also guessing that your definition of a "right wing Court" is one that doesn't give you something that you didn't earn? The majority crushed every argument put forth by the dissent, and in case you're wondering, the opinion now carries the weight of precedent meaning that unless the DOL changes its regulations after an appropriate notice and comment period, the matter is settled once and for all.
If they ever do change the regulations, say "goodbye" to your bonuses and "hello" to time cards, GPS tracking of your location, and requirements that all other "work" be done on a time monitored website. Your job will then involve defending every minute you "worked" in excess of 40 hours per week. How's that sound?
We'll see how much you like Obama then.

Like any of this matters in the long run. Most of us won't be here 5 years from now the way healthcare is heading. In fact, I don't know any sales person who wants to be here 5 years from now.
The upcoming CIA is going to haunt this company for years. There will be no selling at GSK because we f'ed up big time over the past 12. Anyone who wants to sell better get the hell outta here. Taking tests and being compliant are the only things that GSK reps will be doing for at least the next 5 years if not longer.

Don't let the door hit you and your piss poor attitude on the way out. Would you rather be unemployed. There are a lot of people I know who are happy.

Not a bad attitude. Just being realistic. Keep your head in the sand clown and keep pretending people like to work here.
Other companies are not implementing these crazy tests and are laughing at us. Most reps at other companies can still do lunches and are based on numbers versus getting boxes checked.
We are basically the laughingstock of the industry thanks to the CIA.

Just your opinion. Other companies have CIA agreements. We aren't the only one. Get over the lunch thing. I think
The real issue is that this new model really requires skill and for people to work.

Anyone know why HR says the field only works 35 hours a week?

Re: What are you going to do now? - US Supreme Court rules in favor of GSK
tell your manager that you work from 9-4 including expense reports, call reporting, lunches etc. and see how it goes over. If the company didn't claim to pay for 35 hours per week, I don't think that there would have even been a case.

I guess not everyone is as forward thinking as you! I love Conservatives who take responsibility for themselves! Can't wait until all the Independent voters get a "jolt" of the Conservative philosophy during the next 4 months!

You mean as opposed to that "hopey, changey thing?" How's that working out for you?
How do you like the era of post-partisanism? Invoking executive privilege to deny the patriots in Congress the documents necessary to perform their Constitutionally mandated oversight function, unilaterally rewriting the nation's immigration laws, violating the First Amendment's guarantee of free exercise of religion by forcing religious organizations to fund activities abhorrent to their most fundamental beliefs, attempting to deny the SOVEREIGN states the right to control their own voting laws, refusing to allow his Justice Department to defend a law (DOMA) that was passed by overwhelming bipartison majorities in both houses of Congress and enacted into law by the signatre of a Democrat president (Clinton), and of corse the ever popular "extending the Commerce Clause beyond all reason to require individuals to enter commerce through the individual mandate" -- yeah that's my idea of post-partisanism, in North Korea!
It's time for this guy to go and start building houses with Jimmy Carter or to once again take up his true calling of community organizer. Mitt might not be a panacea, but I'm guessing that he'll at least respect the Constitutional limits of his office.

Re: What are you going to do now? - US Supreme Court rules in favor of GSK
I know, I know, the debacle of the 2010 Tea Party victories are giving more voters a real chance to see who is actually hurting America. This will change I believe, as time is on the side of the Dems. The politicallly conservative Supreme Court, The forcing of women to take un- nescessary ultra sounds/ sonograms, the un- successful theory of trickle down economics, will eventually bite the "NEW" Republican Party. You are correct, Romney may nor be a panacea. But what concerns me is the fact that in order to get the nomination, he has sold- out to right- wing extremism. Dole, Ford, Reagan, Bush (I), is not what we have today in the GOP.

I just have to start each interview with 'I sincerely hope you won't hold against me what my current company is doing as a mark against my character and abilities.'
This should be fun.

Keep telling yourself you are a conservative as you chase after every Medicare, Medicaid, VA and Worker's Comp dollar you can get! You think these are "conservative" programs? If conservatives had their way they would f*ck over every old, poor, injured vet in a heartbeat!
