It shows we have this hands free deal on the steering wheel. I cannot get it to recognize the word "bluetooth" like the manual tells me. Dealer says if it is on the wheel, you have it. Anyone else have an issue or know a fix?
I was wondering what that little phone icon was for. Have no idea how to use it, though. I thought maybe it was for use with OnStar somehow.
Our Impala's are not bluetooth capable. They have the steering wheel controls but not the equipment. Push the Onstar button and they will tell you. You know, it's sort of like our management - they look like they know something, but they just aren't capable of actually doing anything.
If you got the upgraded package-xm radio, leather, etc it will work. With certain cell phones you have to call your cell phone provider to walk you thru the connection.
All 2010 Impalas come with XM Radio. What is it about the leather seats that would cause the phone feature to work?
The controls on the stearing wheel are for both Bluetooth and the Onstar phone use. i have onstar in my 2010 but my onstar box under the dash is not equiped to enable bluetooth. Any chev guy can look at your vin and look it up and tell if your onstar also has bluetooth...
It's part of the GPS tracking system. Tony Hooper sits in front of a screen all day now seeing where every rep car is.
