Pre employment hold up

    How long does this Hireright background check usually take? I sent all paperwork last thurs and had my drug screen and hr said they are still waiting for the employment verification and background check today, Wednesday. Is it typical to take this long? I have nothing to hide, but just thought it would be a quicker process.

    Edited to add: I meant waiting for employment verification and drug screen results (not background check).
