I love how orthofix likes to talk about PEMF data yet also try to distance themselves from EBI. It is the same device.

All of the data out there, which is a lot, is based on the EBI device. Ofix only has one single trial and the patients were instructed to use the device for eight hours just like EBI.

-------> They are the same product with the same technology!!

If you include all of the patients in the ofx trial in the results, as they should have, you'll see that there heal rate is essentially the same as the EBI stimulator.

    And in the 60% range.

--------> AND THEY ARE CROOKS TOO!

Proof that DJ Ortho hires a bunch of goons to sell bone stimulators. Braces are decent but the bone stimulators have the least efficacy. Drs who use DJOrtho clearly do not do their own research. Who would want to write a script for the least effective product?

The CMF 1000 bone growth stimulator has the least efficacy of all the bone stims on the market. Fact.

Negative. Study done shows 84% at 3 hours.

Keep drinking the DJO Koolaid with your trainers and marketing depts bull.

30 minutes wear time is not enough time for a biological response. No wonder why so many DJO people left to come to Orthofix.

Another question that needs answering; how is it that CMS pays for the DJ stim when there are no real clinical a to show it does anything to promote healing??

Negative. We are the best at O-FIX - Study done shows 4% at 36 hours.

Keep drinking the O-FIX Koolaid with our trainers and our marketing depts bull.

30 minutes wear time is plenty enough time for a biological response.
No wonder why so many O-FIX people left to go sell hoveround chairs!

Sure you are. What physician is checking in on the DJO page on Cafe Pharma? The OrthoLogic, scratch that, Regentek, scratch that, DJ device is the worst on the market. Why do you think OrthoLogic dumped the "technology" years ago?? Old saying in business "he who discounts his product the lowest understands it's true value." DJ discounts deeper than anyone and was the first to promote physician billing just to stay in the game. Predominantly used by Podiartists looking to profit off the equipment they prescribe. In their prospective spine study the placebo group had a higher fusion rate that the active group in the male population, wait scratch that, oh that's exactly what they did with the study. If you have been prescribed a bone growth stimulator, you will be well served by EBI, Exogen or Orthofix.

Not to mention DJO pays off DME coordinators.
    Getting ready to Blow Up.

Some very sleezy distributors out there.
Caught a rep sliding an envelope in a parking lot.

Also loaner units for acute fxs.

Suggest the Compliance Officer put out a warning.

It's the only way they can get the business. OIG has there ways and forensics in place. DJO will have their day.

C'mon now, those chairs are sweet and pay tremendously high commission! What I have never understood is how the DJ reps get away with putting "loaner" units on patients until the patient meets the timeline to qualify. Had a physician last week tell me he uses you guys because his DJ rep has a trunk full of old units in her car that she lets the patients borrow until they get approval. That's mighty bold in this era of compliance. Props to you, DJ rep, if you are successful selling the 30 minute device you must have serious sales skills and should look into the hoveround business. Those chairs actually work!

Of course this is the Don Joy rep. He has no studies so he has to tout the line that "all studies suck." Doesn't fly the smell test.

If they are paying Drs in cash there is no way to trace it, and it is being orchestrated by the distributor principal. It is happening, trust me. This and the fact that clinics buy the DJ stim at $1500 and bill insurance for over 3000 (4500 for some work comp) is the ONLY reason it is being written.

There is not.one.single. clinical trial or paper (outside of their own sponsored white paper) that shows that the dj device has any effect on fracture healing.

    Disgusting.

every single external bone stim has high-quality clinical trials and other clinical evidence ( i.e., Level I-V evidence) to show the efficacy of their device, except for DonJoy. There is not one clinical paper or trial outside of their company-produced 'white paper' trial to show that it has any effect on fracture healing.
If anyone at DJ can refute that little detail we would be all ears.

Your data is wrong. FDA approved wear time for orthofix is 3 hours
