I hope he has the fortitude to deal with what he has inherited on the brand side. Total incompetence that needs to be corrected. If he can't figure it out, he will be just as bad as his predecessor. If this thing goes the usual way, he will be surrounding himself with his own allies. The Gecko, Fathole, Shitfranski and Chumpa will be moved out. There's a new Sheriff in town!
The sales managers aren't the problem, like them or not. The problem was with the CEO, as well as leadership at the plant. Hope the new CEO woll be at our meeting in May.
Actually, Brand has some very good people, and was building up to a good R&D organization before the cuts. Now - no. Likely the projects will now die, mostly because people will be too terrified to tell the truth and because the very best people will leave. And deprived of the feedback that only the truth and the best scientific judgement can provide they will now go out of control. The CEO doesn't know it yet, but he just killed them. He didn't just kill off one or two of the projects. He just killed all of them. The stockholders will likely benefit - until the bubble bursts and they are left holding the bag on the debt from current and future acquisitions. The banks lending the money for the acquisitions will certainly benefit, though.
