He should replace to NE AVP who should have gone 5 years ago. He is the new blood the field needs. If Mahwah had any sense that is the move. The guys in New England at least trust him. Some horses need to be put out to pasture. Some are way overdue. Just one persons up close opinion.

 

A lot of horses need to be put out to pasture at this division. The reps barely work 30 hours each week. The product line sells itself. Stryker knows this and buy moving Chergy to VP he can start cleaning up this mess and bringing in new blood.

 

Poor Sales Leadership at the Top kills growth and morale. The guys who have been in the same AVP job for 15 years are clearly only going through the motions and collecting a check. Who is the guy running Ortho. Sales in Mahwah? Clearly he is the weak link keeping these "old style" managers.

I can think of a few Mgr's that need to go. Lets start with the clown whose initials are VM in Western NE. That guy couldn't find his way out of a paper bag if his life depended on it and his midget sidekick DR needs to go too. Whoever is in Mahwah reading this, please get rid of these guys!

 

IMO the problem is at the Top of Sales. The new Prez needs new sales leadership. VP and most AVP's need to go to grow. VM is still there because of the weak AVP. Same reason that those old fools are still in Boston.

Lots of good choices. The current Leadership in Sales has little respect in the field. You can't win that way.

 

He's not going to fire anybody. He is running Hips. What power do you think he has over sale leadership? Besides, these old horses are the ones that got him where he is today.

 

He got Himself where he is today. BTW How many Hip and Knee Consultants does Stryker have on the payroll? Now, how many clinical studies have these hundreds of surgeons published in the last 3 years? Exclude Mont and 3 others. What a bad business model. They are studying a lot and publishing almost nothing. Really.
