Distributors and Distributorships have zero loyalty often carrying several competing lines
with zero ramifications and the sad thing is that the leadership knows and does nothing...

Leadership just turns a blind eye and pretends it does not happen and praise them for their selflessness.

Not too sure that this will go on like this forever.

With a distributor you add another person who has to get their piece of the pie. How many good reps have left because of commission or payout structure disagreements with their distributor? How many of these would have stayed had they worked directly for Depuy either as a W2 or 1099?

The company pays no benefits to the reps. Much cheaper for the company that is why they do it

I really doubt the benefits are more expensive than the 7-10% they pay the distributors.

Good Benefits run 25-30%. Much more than the 7-10%. Much more expensive to run it direct, no question about it.

I could see the benefits being 25-30% of your salary or commission. This would work out to 2.5-3% of territory sales or less. This would be less than the 7-10% of sales they pay distributors. There is no way benefits are 25-30% of your sales which is what previous poster was implying.
