Mindboggling that Depuy is spearheading $2,200 knees in our area. It's working, but isn't that cutting off your nose to spite your face?

    Where does this stop?

Wasn't Mayo doing $1800 sigma's 5 yrs ago? Nothing new.

Mayo is an outlier of sorts, given their volume. When this pricing is seen in the smaller stature hospitals, that's a big deal.

When you don't have anything new in your knee system but more sizes, why not sell it for that amount? Attune is lipstick on a pig. The reality is all companies are trending down not up, for now all the systems are similar, just different boxes and we all know this, we just choose not to accept it! Yes, each system has different options but when it comes down it..they are all the same.
Also, the ortho reps are just box openers so now that the hospitals know this is reality, they will continue to drive down the cost and take the $ from your pocket. All the manufactures still have great margins, only the box opener is affected.

Nothing new but sizes must be from a Stryker rep. Whether you want to bash attune or not there have been a lot of changes made to the system. Let me guess, no knee is good that isn't round. The rest of the post was relatively accurate.
