Despite Obama's best efforts to destroy this industry and healthcare generally, we continue to fight on. Just like laws of science, there are also laws of business, and neither Obama or any of has ilk can control or destroy them.

That's great, but you don't allow anonymous posting.

True, but since it is not attached to cafepharma there is no reason for a company to seek user information there. Anonymous boards usually require more resources to prevent them from becoming overrun with spam.

We didn't want a political board to take away from our focus on cafepharma. Can you tell us more about why you are concerned about registering to post on a political forum?

Great. The idiot Tea Bugger(ed)s doesn't want his name out there. I don't know why, he probably lives in NC where about half are idiots like him.

Fuck off, you closed-minded, stuck in the past, stereo-typing, asshole.

You can never debate facts, logic or knowledge and you get the protection of CP when I routinely destroy your liberal dogma.

There are serious issues facing our industry, and while I understand your concern about being overrun with spam, you should be equally concerned with being overrun by people who have nothing to do with Novartis or the pharmaceutical industry. There is a large number of agenda-driven, anti-American hacks on this site. I should not be required to register to have a voice in this forum. I should be allowed to freely respond and put these hacks in their place.

We agree that there are many serious issues facing the healthcare industry. And of course you can speak freely about those issues here without registering. We realize that some issues inherently involve politics and we allow those discussions.

However, based on the feedback we receive from users, the majority do not want the company boards to be overrun with political discussions. On the Novartis forum in particular, threads too often become "hijacked" with purely political arguments. We usually remove those purely political posts when we become aware of them.

Because there are those interested in primarily political discussion, we created a forum (politifray.com) for political discussion. On that board, we do currently require registration, simply because we do not want to divert resources from cafepharma. Again, you can, of course, always discuss industry concerns here anonymously and without registration.

If you even begin to have a serious discussion on Obamacare, you will always get some complete whacko who starts talking about racism, global warming, religion and every other non-relevant, distraction under the sun. It is ridiculous.

It doesn't matter how high the stock price is. The company still sucks.

Coming from someone with a fed govt subsidized employer provided healthcare policy living in a house where at least 20% of its value is due to the govt subsidized mortgage whose kids go to schools funded by taxes on the govt inflated proportion values ......

The current yearly fed govt deficit is about equal to the costs of middle class subsidies.
