There will be no strategic reduction in personnel in 2008. As we evolve to a better way of dong business there will indeed be re-assignments of individual responsibilities with any right-sizing being caused as a result of attrition not cuts. We need to stay focused on our current in-line products as we evolve into this new way of doing business. For those that stay focused and don't lose faith as we move forward the awards will be huge!!

Pass over the Kool-Aid because morale is lower than ever, no one can focus and everyone knows that major cuts are coming. Goodbye Pratt.........................................

sorry Jim Jones--no cool aid drinker here. I have lost faith in data integrity. How can they with a stright face look at a rep that has lost over 40% in mail order business inspite of all other sales channels being in the positive and say, "yes there is an issue--but we are unwilling to fix it, thus take your lower bonus and our untruthful numbers and be off"

Thus Jim Jones--tell Pfizer to start adhering to the core value of repsct for people--our people, our sales reps that drive business!

The grape cool aid is located at 245 East 42nd St, NyC

Yes, Jan 09. ATS severance package expires in Dec 08. They will save a bundle of money by doing the same thing they have done with our promotional budgets-cutting down to nothing!

Not that soon.....2010, 2011 there will be cashflow issues. And I don't want to hear but Pfe has 13 Billion is cash, yes this is true however they are not debt free. Covering the dividend in that time frame will be a problem, cutting cost will be a main priority. Where to cut, your guess is as good as anyone.

In the next 8 months there will be 3,000 less sales reps. 3 less regional offices and the sales forecast will stay the same. It is proven field reps have little effect on sales. Pfizer knows it and they will continue to adjust accordingly.

Unfortunately, Faith has nothing to do with it! Based on recent past history when upper management says something is not going to happen...that is a pretty good indication that it will happen.

You have no basis for your optimism.

You can be optimistic for the sake of it but not based on the signs we're getting from the markets, analysts, stock price, etc.

Also, being negative doesn't make things any better. May as well be realistically optimistic. That means we are optimistic that Pfizer will be a strong, vibrant company beyond 2013 with or without a lot of us.

This is indeed true! Heard today that if the Lryica pilot shows signs of success with the Pratt field force the only downsizing will be by attrition.

we will make your miserable life so much more miserable you will leave on your own and save PFE severance to toss your miserable (did I say that enough? Truth & Transparency) carcass out for road kill.
