That's brilliant what merck drugs have made it to market and where have the profits been coming from then? Merck gained specialty products, oncology, hepatiis c, consumer health over the counter and animal health... Merck lost how many drugs to research failure, poor results and maybe you all would have been laid off 3 years ago instead. All of your portfolio sank and the only think keeping the future is the phase 1/2/3 Schering drugs. Pull your heads out of your asses

Sadly, buying Schering-Plough was the only reason Merck still exists. Let's be honest, we wouldn't have shit to sell if it wasn't for Schering-Plough. I am grateful to have a product to sell.

Really the worst thing Schmerck did!!! Merck was lucky to have SP people. the Schmerck reps can't sell for crap. You were lucky to have singulair, mevacor , zocor good R&D and drugs that sold themselves, look what happenned after singulair went bye-bye, thanks to SP and their people that know how to sell you survived a little more, there was no pipeline for schmerck, and reps that were not appraised on sales but on alot of other BS, don't go there.... NOW they are goingn to have to sell

You know less than a rock in a desert

MRK could have been bought if it did not get bigger by buying a company

Still too many pharm corps and more consolidation required

It's obviously the biggest mistake for Schering. Merck just plainly sucks at everything they do.

Amen and they pretend they can't do anything on time or communicate with their people like adults because lawyers run the company. Service suffers, customer support suffers and open honest communication suffers. We all hear random bits and pieces of everything because merck chooses to run the company with a handful of people rather than share with everyone. Merck is sinking themselves and all they care about is the price of stock.

Believe me no one at Schering-Plough was ever excited about the merger with Merck. The Merck rep's were never acceptable for sales results. You could see this right away. They acted as though they were better than the Schering rep's, yet they were more concerned about how many calls etc. they made rather than how good the calls were. What a joke. Glad to be gone.

Don't fret - they will change the process, policies, departments, leaders, philosophy, and your pay plans which are subjective every 3 months until they finally realize that yes, they have run this company and its employees( which they claim is their most valuable resource) right into the ground. Why not yet again restart your bonus structure and/or SIP all over again. A-Z how to run a corporate entity that once had good people and science is now reduced to selling off assets and looking to buy other products, companies, because they cannot compete. What a beautiful culture as long as you are protecting your precious stock. Meanwhile, aren't we all stockholders ? Take stock in yourselves and look in the mirror... Karma

Schering was 10 times the company that Merck is. People actually enjoyed coming to work and actually enjoyed their jobs. All that shit changed when Merck rolled into town. Kaizen and Kata that Merck F'kers. FU Merck..

Second hand drug for a second hand company.

BMS will beat Merck with this and again this company will be playing second fiddle to others who know how to run a decent company

SP was going downhill quick. There is a great chance it would have been sold for parts. Merck had money but no vision.
