Are you kidding? They have four to five reps for every 7 accounts or 90 cardiologists with a drug that is nearly four years old and makes only about 60 million. To keep ONE rep per territory, the drug would have to make 300 million. I'd say it is pretty far off the mark. There is no way this can continue. Crestor is the only thing keeping the lights on.

Both Diabetes and Cardiology are costing this company more money than they generate. So where is the money coming from? Are we really just running on Crestor?

NO one but high level insiders knows. We do know that over 50% of AZ revenue comes from the US government.

Not learning a single lesson no matter how many times they make the same mistake over and over and over..... If their brilliant plan did not work it is always because the damn reps didn't do it hard enough so the answer is always do that which isn't working even harder.

Thoroughly disappointing shareholders. Never, ever again will someone make a 116-118b offer for your company.

Harder and more of it which works in sex but not necessarily in sales. The customers say we will see one PSS from your company and our response is to send in another PSS in addition to the other 5 that call on that office and now we have 6 faking calls instead of 5. Brilliant strategy and great response to a changing marketplace. And the mental masturbation continues.

You are 100% correct. Add on that they keep Managers that violate AZ rules, are unable to do their job and ruin morale. Low morale does not make AZ more $$$. These reps can run their own territories without all the interference.

I'd rather have 30 reps with more accountability report to 1 great manager than 1 reporting to a DSM who enjoys belittling reps and/or doctors every chance they get just because they can. That is not leadership but false entitlement.

If they can get their hands on a patent for a cure to the common cold, they'll get that offer. Notice I didn't write if they discover it. They couldn't discover how to close an umbrella, much less a deal.

They are as incompetent as the US government, their best customer.

Pissing off performing employees. I can't wait to give my notice! Take your career ladder BS and shove it!

Pulling all kinds of ethical if not highly illegal tricks to push their loser drugs on people, knowing that a multimillion dollar settlement and a CIA is just the cost of doing business. Members of management would murder their own moms if it meant making a profit. AZ has the worst reputation for ethics in the entire pharma industry.

Generating EPS to shareholders. That is the essence of our work. Shareholders first, the rest can come along for the ride until we tell you to get off the bus

The reality at AZ is that the truth tellers who used to exist in leadership positions are all gone now. All that remains are political hacks who will stick to their talking points from senior leadership and will never challenge bad decisions that they know will harm us. We are no longer insulated from totally stupid strategy and tactics. When was the last time you heard a DSM, Regional, or Area Director ask a challenging question or stand up for us at a meeting? I remember leaders who used to do this and they all disappeared in the last 5 years.

A little history lesson. General Patton was despised byGeneral Eisenhower, who never saw combat in his life, as well as the Presidents he served under because he always told the truth even when it was not popular to hear. They brought him in when they needed military victories or to clean up a mess and then took credit for his success and marginalized him in the press. Sound familiar to anyone here at AZ?

Patton was also narcissist and a loose cannon, but yeah, he was still a great general on the field.

AZ is full of narcassists but to be successful you have to play the game which has nothing to do with actually accomplishing anything. Patton wouldn't last 6 weeks at AZ because he would not compromise what he knew was the truth just to protect his job. He was about accomplishing the objective not making it look pretty.

It is the strangest company ever. While I think AZ does treat their employees well, there is something totally unethical about what is going on "at work." What I mean is people are NOT working. Work is imaginary stuff and self created B.S. and spreadsheets and lying and playing games and scratching backs. No one is really productive because the environment is so dysfunctional.

Management: NO REP CAN SEE SIX TO EIGHT SPECIALISTS A DAY - PROBABLY NOT EVEN PRIMARY CARE! Real calls - where we get two to ten minutes, happen twice a day at the most!!! NO doctor wants to see or HEAR an AZ detail more than twice a month = if that. Please get rid of more than half of management and get rid of a 1/3 of the field. I promise, you won't miss any of them.

I left because I just could not take this BS anymore. I never saw so much stupid shit in my life.

If you were getting two actual sales presentations where a physician was actually engaged in the conversation then you were exceptional. Most of the PSSs I know don't even try any longer and just fake the whole call. It is dumping samples and chasing signatures a couple of hours per day. Period.

Yeah, well, the B.S. my manager put me thru finally just made me realize I needed to call it a day. I will probably NEVER make the kind of money AZ paid nor have the benefits, but some things in life are just more important. While I met a lot of really great people, more than 70 percent of those that I met were complete players or total asshats with knives they could not wait to stab into anyone's back. I am going to have wounds for a long, long time after working for this mess. . . . and it wasn't the company but the dirt they hire, keep and promote. If you are honest, they will hang you out to dry.
